I know it's been done to death but...hair straighteners

Are certain ones suited to any type of particular hair types?

I used to love GHDs but recently ive noticed I still get a bit of frizz after using them and my hair doesn't go completely straight. I have very fine hair, but there's lots of it so it looks thick and won't hold any type of style except dead straight

Has anyone had experience of the Cloud Nine or L'Oreal Steampod straighteners? I think I'm ready to jump the GHD ship...

I had GHDs until they stopped working and went for Cloud 9's as a replacement.

I have the touch ones which I love. My hair is just a tad past my shoulders and I find it easier to straighten than I did with GHDs.

The are fixed temperature, 195 I think and I found that my hair is less frazzled than from a higher heat.

I've traded my ghd for steam pod and found it much better. Still use the ghd occasionally for travelling and really notice the difference

Thanks both...although a good review for both puts me in even more of a dilemma Grin

I'm edging towards the Steampod ones I think.

Yes steam pod here too and I love it. It's so quick and easy and my hair stays straight much longer. I'd never go back to a regular straightener.
