Casualwear capsule wardrobe advice?

I've lost 22kg (3st 9lbs) since January. I still have 10-15kg to lose. Im 5ft 5 and currently size 12 on top, 12/14 on bottom. I have a month off work coming up and really need a few things to wear to get me through the last bit of weight loss (which I expect to take quite a while at this stage).

I'm not entirely sure of my body shape- narrow shoulders but still quite chunky upper arms and narrow wrists, big chest (30G but losing volume on top of breasts rapidly), waist 28 inches, hips 40inches but large thighs with saddlebags, chunky calves and slim ankles. Tummy still a bit flabby, c-section did me no favours! Online bodyshape calculators can't assign me a shape but I seem to be a pear shap with large boobs, or a slightly atypical hourglass. Dark hair, grey eyes, very pale skin and lots of freckles. Mid 30s.

I seem to suit formalwear quite well. I'm totally lost for casual wear though- I have no idea what I should be wearing or what colours (spent the few years wearing baggy black). I have a 2year old so nothing too high maintenance. I'd envisioned wearing lovely skinny jeans with elegantly draped tops after losing weight but they look like pyjamas on me.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what might suit me? I'm feeling totally dejected having spent days shopping and coming home empty handed despite my hard earned weight loss.

I'd just wait until you've lost that last bit then have a proper slurge. Go to Manchester or London John Lewis and have one of those personal shopper days, they are brilliant. I didn't buy many clothes but bought all the accessories

Literally when I was loosing the last 10lbs (which I assume you mean not kgs), I used elastic bands on the back of my jeans to keep them up rather than buy a pair of 12's that I wanted to not fit ASAP

No I mean kg! Have still got 1.5stone to go. But having lost quite a bit I really have very little to wear- my pre baby clothes are still too tight, my post baby clothes are literally falling off. I've bought a few things but mostly clothes for work rather than day to day.

I find it very demoralising being dressed horribly all the time, and realistically it will be another 6 months before I get to a target weight (don't expect to lose much on my month off and it's been very slow for last 2 months or so). So I'm really just looking for a few things I can alternate until I get to target. I never really knew how to dress my shape casually and would like to learn now!

It's tricky at this stage then, I'd go for the personal shopper thing then replicate it all with cheap options. I agree 6 months is a long time to be fed up

If you want to kick start the weight looks I found a 48 hour fast fantastic, 7lbs off, 5 of which stayed off and that was a whole dress size down

Thanks PO. Maybe I'll book in with John Lewis. Strangely embarrassed to go in saying that I don't know what suits me!

I think we are all just bumbling along tbh
