Potentially rainy holiday...

... camping in Brittany. I am looking for a waterproof jacket as I anticipate the weather will be very changeable. Ideally I'd like something that covers my bottom, not usually that difficult as I am only 5.3". I am a size 10. So something I can just have for during the day if it suddenly starts raining but not too plastic-y that makes me sweat, and perhaps to double up for the potentially chilly evenings? Oh and I'd like to look good in it, so not too boxy.
And also, can someone tell me why I didn't just book an AI to Mallorca instead??Grin

Didriksons, every time. They cope with Scottish rain and are good quality and very comfortable. In spite of their name, Viking Kids www.vikingkids.co.uk/waterproofs.htm have quite a few adult styles on sale at the moment. Go for the ones marked 'breatheable'.

Thanks!! Those look nice but I'm worried they'll be too much for August in Brittany. Might get something for winter for the kids though. They have 25% off on top pf the sale!

I've got this beauty. Very lightweight and looks really lovely on. And I'm not one to usually do sensible coats. I haven't worn a waterproof in years. A bargain too. It prob wouldn't do much against a total downpour. But it's proper stylish on

That's lovely Ken! I wonder if it will look like a tent on me though as I'm so short...

I decided against the poncho because of my height but your link brought my attention to the pack a parka which I have ordered. It doesn't say it is breathable but reviews are great!!

Viking Kids are brilliant. I got my Skogstad rain mac from there and it is great. V lightweight, but v waterproof. Looks smart. Can be a little bit sweaty sometimes, but I overlook that because it's been so useful in this showery summer.

I have seen something in Viking Kinds that would be good for my DD as a winter coat but I am always put off by the fact that returns aren't free.

Ah, are they not? I got so carried away with excitement at their sale, I didn't notice! Hope you find something for you.
