Boob tubes - so many questions....

Can a 43 year old 36B wear boob tubes? Or will I look mutton dressed as lamb?
Do I need a strapless bra underneath (I'm guessing yes)?
Where is best to buy a strapless bra?
Where is best to buy boob tubes?
I have one week before my holiday, and I'll have DC in tow if I go shopping, so I need to make it as streamlined as possible...
Please be honest and tell me if I should just call the whole thing off!

Go for it. I stopped worrying about what i wore a while ago and it is liberating smile

Wear what you are comfortable in. If you wear a boobtube and feels uncomfortable all day hoiking, standing at an odd anglw, tugging onit, then it will look awful and you'll hate it.

If you stand tall and walk around like you own the joint, then you'll look a million dollars.

Have a nice holiday!

Oh, strapless bra definitely, otherwise you may as well just wear a strappy top.

The best strapless bra is the wonderbra.. It's so comfy and it supports really well without creating a classic wonderbra cleavage!

Wear it! 40G norks here and I always wear them on my holidays - a good fitting strapless bra is a must.
Head high, shoulders back - you'll look fab!

OK I've ordered the wonderbra; hopefully it's the right size. Any suggestions for where to get boobtubes this week? I don't want to browse the shops with the DC!

H&M usually have them.

I got a good one in next last week.

Are boob tubes in again?

80s Reviva; grin
I used to wear one under a jacket (when I had no boobs )
I'm too saggy now but I can see the appeal on holiday, no strap marks.

I think it might just be a holiday thing for me. Not sure I could pull it off around people I actually know!

Can't find one anywhere. I've tried h&m, next, top shop, debenhams, primark & new look. No joy sad

I'm also in my 40s and I wear strapless tops on holiday. I buy these bandeau tops - not really boob tubes but I find them a bit more flattering for me. I buy from Swimwear365 - delivery is very quick so you still have time. A few of the ones they have:

In fact, looking for those links for you, I've noticed they have some new ones in stock that I don't have ... time to do some shopping smile

They do have more than what I've posted here, but it gives you an idea.

Ooh, thanks Fiona. Any idea how well they size? Choices are 10/12 or 14/16. I'm more of a 12/14....

FionaThePrincess Wed 27-Jul-16 14:24:27

Oh you're the same as me 12-14. I bought 14-16 as I didn't want them to feel tight and hot on holiday. They fit nicely with a strapless bra underneath.

FionaThePrincess Wed 27-Jul-16 14:32:32

Here's one on me - this is a size 14-16 top and I'm usually a size 12-14.

PS I always choose standard delivery, and it's always been quicker than they state on their website, but if you're going away this weekend you can pay extra for next day delivery.

All done thanks Fiona. They should arrive tomorrow.
