Cotton(ish) dresses with pockets

I'm on the hunt for a few above the knee summer dresses, either straps or with cap sleeves, but most websites don't let me sort by 'have they got pockets'. So I thought I'd start a thread asking for any recommendations please?

By cottonish I mean not all nylon and sweaty...

I have this linen dress in a number of colours and they have large patch pockets. They run a little on the large size so maybe try the size down?

They've all washed well and held their colour too.

Yet another recommendation for the Next dress linked above. I have 3 and they're pretty much all I've worn all summer

I have the Next dress as well, but in a different colour. I love it.

Hmm guess what, I think I'll get a next dress grin

Thank you!

H&M cotton dress -100% cotton and very nice to wear. Cheap as chips too smile

Emily and Finn dresses are all cotton, with pockets. Excellent quality all fully lined (yet still cool to wear)

Cath kidston dresses normally have pockets too.

I've seen a few in TK Maxx in recent weeks with some in cotton and occasionally linen, for around £20. I tried one one which I think was by Monsoon but didn't like the high nehru style collar. The rest of it was fine but neck would have been too 'suffocating' for me - pity as I would have loved it for it's smartness and finish.

any of these you like?

TheFairyCaravan Thu 21-Jul-16 21:12:42

I came to recommend the Next dress! grin

pinkskyinthecity Thu 21-Jul-16 21:27:10

Good thread, love pockets, I bought this one yesterday, I think it's supposed to be a top blush but it's lovely to wear. And I'm only a short (fat) little thing grin

I came on to recommend the H and M ones. I bought 2 for my holidays and have lived in them for the last fortnight.

Ooh, those Emily and Fin ones are lovely! What's the sizing like? I am a Boden or Seasalt 12, if that helps?

chocolatecheesecake Sat 23-Jul-16 12:16:49

Great thread. I've just bought the Bethany dress from Asos which is a denim blue thin cotton dress with pockets.

KanyesVest Sat 23-Jul-16 21:43:42

I got a couple in Uniqlo last year.

polyhymnia Sat 23-Jul-16 22:19:50

Can anyone who has the Boden Blackberry dress say how it comes up on sizing and length please?

Oly5 Sun 24-Jul-16 15:12:49

Sizing on blackberry is about average. I'm a big 12 and the 12 fits. Worth ordering two sizes with free returns.
I'm 5ft6 and opt for long length because I like it knee length.
