Am looking for inspiration. I'm hurtling towards 40, and at least 3 stone overweight with a lovely double (triple) chin and working full time with an early rising almost 2 year old is tiring. I'm bored of the shoulder length brown bob and its either grow longer and tie it up (which gives me headaches) or lop it off and have to style it daily but there will be less to dry. Oh and I've got a long face too!
All the googling I have done gives me pictures of lovely, slim 20 somethings with blonde hair, no wonder styles look lovely on them!
Id like to keep a bit of length around my face, chin length maybe so there is something to tuck behind my ear - I can't hide my turkey neck/chins but I don't want to accentuate it either!
Appointment is booked for Saturday and I need to decide what to do!
I looked at Short Hair Styles For Older Women (or something) and all the pictures were Judi Dench or Jamie Lee Curtis.
I have short hair , I'm 50, long face, glasses.
I've tried growing my hair out a bit .I had a one length collarbone length bob before, it was ok but a bit boring . I have to tie my hair back at work so ended up having it tied back all the time because it got in my way . I had some layers, didn't work. Had it cropped and kept it short ever since.
It is a commitment WRT time - you get the "Hmm ok" to "Aaargh" in a really short period . Its cooler and quick to wash/dry (I don't do any styling)
But - everyone will say "It's only hair, it'll grow" Yes, but it's a pain in the butt to grow out.
Ask them to do a Long Pixie style? Give you some layers to tuck behind your ears and some tendrilly bits?
