I never did upload a picture of my progress so far. Let me see what I have got.

I love Keeley's style, I am eyeing up a cake one!

drboo Get it, you know you want to (and I say this knowing how incredibly jealous I will be) I was actually looking at trains fairs to london yesterday after I spotted it but I can;t afford it, one day though, one day.
Hairy - how painful has it been? can;t wait to see it.

Yay for our new home!

dita I think you should travel down and get it, her weather designs would look great on you.
Even though it's only a 1.5hr journey for me I can't afford the fare or the tattoo cost, espec with my colour in Aug. convinces self it's the sensible thing

Ooh hello may I join in please? I haven't seen the first two threads, I shall look for them.

I got my first tattoo last year and am planning my next. Who is Keeley and whereabouts in London is she, please? I live in London, am looking for a good tattoo artist here (had the first one done in the US).

Thanks!

Hi London of course you can join in, the more the merrier.

Dita can fill you in on Keeley, she is her best customer lately! she has beautiful very cute tattoos.

I am more of a black and grey girl. What style do you like?

Do you have any pics of your tattoo?

Wow! Love her work.

I don't want to post a pic of my tattoo as it is very identifying! But it is a protea flower. DH is from South Africa and the protea is the national flower - we got married there and it was the main flower in my bouquet and in the table decorations. It's more of a figurative interpretation of a flower than a literal drawing IYSWIM.

I want two African birds next, flying around the flower. The colours of the bird in the first pic, but in the style of the second pic

London I have that same bird picture saved to my Ideas folder. I want something similar on my left hip. I have these two elephants on my right. This picture was taken whilst everything was still quite swollen.

Shell I am sure in Manchester there will be tons of great artists. I had a cover done by a guy called Mike in Tsunami in Widnes which is about 30/40 mind from you?

The cover is an old tribal which is now underneath the flower.

Hello London , Shell and 2protect Smile

2protect I'm very interested in hearing how you sorted arrangements for two artists to do a piece for you?

Having car issues at the mo, will cost £300-400ish to fix bastard thing so I definitely can't have anything else done before the end of the year but I've emailed Dor to say I definitely want a Celtic mother and child knot (adapted for my 3 boys) on the side of my wrist/forearm and I've also asked him to come up with a design for my foot - I want flowers and a globe.
I think I could get both done in one visit so I've to asked what his diary looks like for the end of the year.

Found the new thread Smile

Sorry I take a while to get back to the thread. I'm not an Arse but work is challenging at the moment - i end up getting stuck with various things that need done right now so they say..

Anyway yeah re FB group I see your point Dita and to be honest with you i take myself off it from time to time AS it is a PITA sometimes. Well hopefully this can stay as a new home. The only additional benefit of about FB group would keep the moralistic squad away although that doesn't need to be a problem. But I've seem quite horrible comments on here re Tattoo's and indeed many other topics (!)

I am hoping to go to tattoo jam in august. Has anyone been to this one? I hear it is the best although i did like the TTP in manc.

Hello! The old thread vanished but apparently people there were very lovely about my latest piece of work (the Anne Boleyn tattoo) and I thought I'd pop in here to say thank you! :)

I'm currently planning my next four pieces, which I want to get done before the end of the year. They're all small tattoos so this SHOULD be doable! :)

Really looking forward to seeing everyone else's lovely tattoos in our new home!

|I desperatly want one of those weather pieces from keeley, would it be weird to message her and ask her if she plans any conventions or anything nearer to me?

Still waiting for my appt on Aug 3rd. Thinking of something like this...a storm in a teacup. Cause I say that a lot.

I prefer the boat in the second image but prefer the third tattoo overall. I like the way the whole image is contained within the teacup.

Oh I'm glad I've found this thread! MN (of all places - being distinctly anti-tattoo in the main Hmm) switched me onto several fab female tattoo artists on Instagram who I love following. Including Keeley Rutherford Smile Also love Kelly Violet, Rebecca Vincent and Harriet Heath.

I'm actually in the process of emailing Harriet about booking with her. I thought I was all about blackwork tattoos, but she's turned me around to colour. It'll be my first proper tattoo. I have one very small, very crap, very ruined-by-pregnancy tattoo which barely even counts. Really excited.
