For a special occasion - I am struggling to find something I like. Not stiletto (wobbly ankles) and mid height - or even flats. I'm looking at silver/cream and nothing is jumping out at me. I'm unlikely to wear again so not looking to spend much at all.
Can anyone help? I feel like sacking it and wearing it with black sandals because its easy but I know it wont look right. Fed up with looking now.

Light brown leather - for both, would be my choice.
Sandals obviously. smile

Delicate straps.

Would it be dressy enough for a wedding though? And what bag would you put with that? I have some mid brown/tan leather sandals but they have a wooden block heel. I think they'd be great for an afternoon out but casual for a wedding.

Is the dress long or short? If long I would go with strappy silver sandals. If short, I'd wear nude shoes.

or white?

I'm wearing a baby blue dress to a wedding soon and I'll have red shoes. Yellow is also a good suggestion from MrBoot.

Love the idea of yellow but it drains my colouring and I just tried some red with it and I am not sure it's quite right. Plus I am going to havr to find a clutch to match too...

Pale gold? Too boring? should be silver really.

If not yellow, I'd go with green (primary).

But if its easier (and it probably is especially if you won't wear them again), I'd just go with nude court shoes. Not very exciting but if they are good enough for Kate Middleton.........

Not sure where I'll find some really bright shoes now. Like the idea of clashing. Really bright cerise?
Would pale gold be ok if all else fails?

Peach would be nice or light pink

Rose gold? My DD has a beautiful pair of sparkly heels from New Look.

Black, brown or light brown would be too heavy.
If you don't like navy or silver, nude could be nice and subtle.
Do you want the dress to have impact or the accessories?

JohnCheese Mon 11-Jul-16 13:17:34

I vote silver
Nude if you don't like silver

When l said "light brown" leather, l was thinking tan.
No way is that too heavy for baby blue, it compliments it beautifully.
I have also worn it with beige... On my feet!

I was thinking bright pink. Anything here?

Without seeing the dress, it's a bit hard to know what would go.

How about these? Nice low heel but still look quite dainty and a great price.

I'd probably carry a silver clutch rather than anything too matching.
Something like this?
