Can we have a house of colour thread just for Autumns here please?

It would be nice to share our finds and get advice.

First up, this coral dress from Nougat London

I have coral or gold shoes, and a gold shrug or light peachy cardi to wear over it. Which would work best, or any other combinations that I should consider?

Charitygirl1 Thu 07-Jul-16 20:54:52

Gold and coral is lovely but I like the sound of a toning peachy cardi.

A couple of recent buys - both a bit atypical/nuts, as I'm going to NYC next week and it's going to be boiling, so I just want to be cool

And these, when they were 20% off

Nice dress, I wear a lot of coral and forest or khaki green. Search coral outfits on Pinterest for more inspiration.

nice 'stuff'

and ooh, coral and green looks good on pinterest.

see! this is why i need this thread.

AnneGables Thu 07-Jul-16 21:20:39

I always research colour combos on Pinterest, great for outfit ideas.

Are any of you a "blue" Autumn?

Destinysdaughter Thu 07-Jul-16 21:33:27

Was wondering, as Autumns, which lipstick do pp use? I prefer nudes, don't suit red at all!

workingclasslegs Thu 07-Jul-16 21:39:37

soft blue autumn here, but can't for the life of me remember what the soft/blue bit means.

lipstick, i'm going with rusty coppery reds. not brave enough for coral.

AnneGables Thu 07-Jul-16 21:42:04

I mostly wear nude lipstick, but have some vibrant orange ones that I love. Will try and find a pic.

A reminder of the different Autumn 'types'

For HoC lippies - I use 410 the most often, someone 5 sometimes 606

AnneGables Thu 07-Jul-16 21:47:44

I can't find one but it's a Maybelline one, great shade.

ArfurFacksake Thu 07-Jul-16 21:54:45

Thanks for that Charitygirl!

Can we add out actual colouring please?

Eyes: Very dark brown
Skin: Freckles but tans golden brown
Hair: Auburny brown with a few gold blonde highlights

Charitygirl1 Thu 07-Jul-16 21:58:32

Eyes: blue
Hair: blonde
Skin: quite fair but some freckles

I'm a 'rich/vibrant' autumn but quite a lot of my 2** colours come from the blue autumn range

MassDebate Thu 07-Jul-16 22:00:14

Soft Autumn signing in!

Hair: dark golden blonde (mousey underneath the highlights but naturally light blonde in youth)

Eyes: green

Skin: naturally pale but tan well to golden

Destinysdaughter Thu 07-Jul-16 22:04:53

I had brown reddish hair ( gone grey now so now blonde )
Blue eyes with brown flecks
Pale skin reddish tone with freckles

I'm a 'bright Autumn' apparently.

My best colours are turquoise and bronze.

AnneGables Thu 07-Jul-16 22:09:20

True/leaf autumn..i think

Brown eyes
Auburn hair, although quite light in the summer
Pale, freckly, my tan is more of a peach colour than actual shade of brown grin.

I tend to wear lots of mustard, orange and tan. I need more green in my wardrobe though.

workingclasslegs Thu 07-Jul-16 22:14:01

Eyes: hazel/green/yellow
Hair: dark brown but going blonde very soon
Skin: super pale, never tan. never.

Hello, soft Autumn here. I tend to wear a muted coral type colour lipstick, but in search of some new colours to try.
I haven't bought much recently but really need to invest in new leggings to wear when the weather cools off, so any tips on hose around would be gratefully received!

ArfurFacksake Thu 07-Jul-16 22:16:59

Fascinating, we're all quite different.

Thanks for starting this thread OP.

I was really disappointed in my analysis.
Hoping to pick up some tips here smile

poppym12 Thu 07-Jul-16 23:07:00

I thought I was spring or rather 'warm spring' but that seems to be almost autumn. Very confusing.

ArfurFacksake Thu 07-Jul-16 23:33:12

Have you had your analysis done Poppy? By HoC?

Salmiak Thu 07-Jul-16 23:41:20

Eyes - I think it's called hazel but basically Brown centre and then blue/green outer colour

Hair - dark blonde, HOC lady said it's the colour of wet sand

Skin - freckles, quite red undertones

Lipstick - I don't wear any

I basically live in clothes which are olive, teal, green, brown or golden.
