My 11 yr old wants a costume with this on it. Costume is perfectly modest I just don't understand the connotations of the statement I'm old

Yep, I'm old too so I prob don't understand it but it seems innocent enough to me. I'd say it meant a group who hang out on the beach? Don't see a problem.

I would guess it's a lifeguard thing.

Lifeguard imagery is not exclusively immodest so sounds like they have made children's and more mature versions.

Your squad is your group of close friends. From the States originally I think. Taylor Swift has a squad of equally famous friends that she drags on stage at her concerts. Various Kardashian and Hadid sisters are photographed wandering down the street together with the caption "squad goals" Meaning that all groups of friends should aspire to being 6foot tall glamazons I guess......
Anyway, Beach Squad doesn't mean anything bad, or sexual, or anything....it's just the current slang for friends.

Secondary school teacher here, one group of girls call themselves "English Squad" because they are friends in English class! Or you could have "converse squad" because they all wear converse.
That's how it works in my school anyway
