What do you wear if your legs are too fat for jeans?

Or have I just not found the right pair?
I have put on quite a lot of weight recently due to a number of factors, stress, DH working away, not enough exercise, comfort eating etc. I'm a size 14-16.
I have always carried my weight on my legs but I am finding that I now look like I have stuffed two lumpy sausages into my jeans! Thighs - huge. Knees - chubby. Thighs - massive. Not a good look.
Any advice? Anyone found a flattering style of jeans for chubster legs? Any other style of casual trouser I could try? Work clothes are fine I can get away with smart trousers but I'm really looking for something more casual. Oh and deffo not leggings, I look dreadful in them!
ThanksSmile

Straight leg or boyfriend jeans than come in a similar cut as work trousers? Lemme see if i can find some links. I'm an 18 and still wear jeans so you're definitely not too fat for them.it's all about finding a pair you feel comfortable in x

I wear skinnies btw with a stretch and always a good fit and where possible with a heel which in my case is a wedge heel.

Thanks for the replied. Rebel I would love a link if possible thank you! Number I honestly cannot imagine myself in skinnies, I think they'd just cling to the fat! Sigh.

Black or dark grey jeans show it less, I find.

Try straight leg jeans. Always with stretch.

Well you did say it didn't you alas. So you are rude.
Thanks rebel I don't have long legs which makes it worse, but I need to get in the habit of wearing heels. I really like that third picture, the darker pair. Does that style have a name? (Sorry, I am clueless!)

Bluebell they're called straight leg jeans x i'd recommend going to shops and trying lots on rather than online buying until you are comfortable with a certain style and fit. Little wedge sandals or flipflops can be a nice easy intro back into the world of heels :p

I miss the 90s/early 00s when you could get baggy skater jeans. I looked good in those! They hid my legs and emphasised my waist.
I just wear dresses now.
