Fitflop Sizing - Inconsistent or Unlucky?

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 10/06/2016 21:42

I ordered a pair of Lulu fitflops online which I received today, a size 4 and they're too small.

I've had two pairs of Electra fitflops which I bought a few years ago both size 4 and they fit me perfectly.

Have fitflops gotten smaller or are the footbeds different in size depending on the model of the shoe?

(The footbed on the electra and lulu look identical to me anyway).

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

There are definitely differences between the original fitflops and the newer "skinny" type though you can still get new styles that say something like "original microwobble board". The new style are narrower but also seem harder (less "bouncy") but seem to wear in a little. I did have to send back a pair of patent ones though as they skinned my toes in a way that other fitflops never did.

They've definitely got smaller - I have the original ones in a size 3 and some new ones in a 4; if anything the 4s are slightly smaller.

I think the new sizing is probably more accurate as I am usually a 4 but it's annoying when you buy online because think you know your size then have to send them back for an exchange...

Thanks for your replies. Yep, they are about a half size smaller all round (including width).

Unfortunately the size 5's are all gone Sad
