So I'm currently losing weight (1.5st so far), going from a size 16/18 to a size 12/14 and my bra situation is not good. I measured last night and my back came in at 31.5in and then I did the whole leaning forward and measure - this came in at 44in shock

I'm currently wearing a 38f, but I'm sure this is wrong. Does anyone know what I'm supposed to be wearing? I do know that my chest looks massive now and I've been having a lot of back pain, so I am hoping a new bra situation will help.

go to john lewis - book an appointment or brassimo or people on here talk about debenhams. john lewis spent 45 mins helping me and the lady was fab. i came out with 5 bras and went from a 38c to a 34f - no wonder i was struggling to find one myself

Search on Facebook for the group 'boob or bust' and join it. You post your measurements there using their bra calculator and they give you the size you should try. Very helpful and knowledgeable women and was bang on for me and many others I know.

If you do decide to go and get measured go with bravissimo only. Debenhams, JL and M&S no good IME.

You're looking in the region of 32HH with those measurements

i second not using M&S. the girl opened the cubical curtain whilst i was trying ones on to see if it was full or not. i'm not especially shy but i didn't want my boobs flashed to all the other customers in bath...and sure they didn't either. i did like JL though and the nearest bravissimo was several hours away

Your measurements suggest start point of 32hh which will make a huge difference as right now the band won't be giving you much support so all the weight will be hanging from your shoulders which causes awful back pain

Wow, ok so 32hh. I'll certainly avoid M&S and head for bravissimo - I'll have to go in to town, but it'll be worth it if it can stop the back pain.

I'm the same sort of size and you're likely to find it makes a huge difference. It will feel tight at first as you're going down 3 band sizes
