DD2's leavers do next Friday. Have two dresses both similar styles from phase eight. The pink one is older and is a bit longer. Same jacket with both. Same sandals but taupe with the pink dress and navy with the other. Similar looks really. Which do you prefer?

I prefer the black and white dress and the red maxi, but it's hard to tell if those are the most flattering for your colouring.

Mouldy I am far from slim. I am a robust size16! But I will take the compliment anyway! I am going shopping tomorrow with a plan to buy a new evening dress and I planned to reuse one of my day dresses. I just wanted really to work out if one of the evening dresses would work if I couldn't find anything else.

Consensus then! I love the navy one so that is day sorted. If I can't find a new evening one tomorrow the red one will be worn.

The school is a small independent school which takes boarders. DD is a day pupil. This is her cohort leaving. Because lots of the parents come a long way for the prize giving/speeches they are also invited to the ball. After the ball the youngsters all head off for an after party to let their hair down!
