Xanthelasma (cholesterol deposits around eyes)...

Does anyone else have these? Mine developed after I had my dd 8 years ago.
A huge one over one eye and a smaller one on the other eyelid. I,ve had my cholesterol checked numerous times and it's always low.

My DR thinks I'm just predisposed to them Sad.

The last time I had an eye test, the optician asked if I wanted a referral to have them cut out, but added in her experience the scars left were sometimes as bad!

I can't disguise mine, they're slightly raised and a horrible waxy lemon colour and so,so ageing.

So if you have/had xanthelasma how did you get rid of them?

Shameless bump. And wondering if anyone's tried TCA acid treatment?

I have a similar condition. I have syringinoma on my inner eye. I have not had it diagnosed [ just using google] The doctor years ago gave me vitamin A to rub on them but never worked. She thought they were whiteheads. I have never been able to get rid of them no matter what. I used to think they were what you are but looking at pictures, mine arent yellow?
Would love a rememedy. Think the treatment is still the same but they can come back.

Another picture. Mine are not like whiteheads but odd shapes more like this but are more like the eyelid and are not on the other parts of the eye, just the inner. I hate them!

Ooh neveradull mine are above my eyelids.

Yours are very small.

I did something, I put wartner gel on them (very very carefully)

Eek! I now have 2 nice scabs and I'm hoping when the scabs come off, no more xanthelasma

A woman on a blog in the US did the same. Wartner has TCA in. Oh God hope my eyeballs don't fall out Shock

Well 10 days on neveradull they are gone! Grin They scabbed ( which was awful I should have done this in winter really) underneath brand new skin with no sign of the xanthelasma.

Just using bio oil at night, a high factor sunscreen and big Jackie O glasses!
