Boden madness

So I recently was sent a random £10 voucher, as was my mum (which she kindly have to me) so between them and a 25% off code, I've bought a couple of things for hols at really good prices

It's now my bday so along come a card in the post with a £10 voucher. Used that last night. Then I get an email this morning with another voucher code for a £10 so have just used that! So £40 off plus the 25% code and I'm chuffed.

I know it's all marketing and that their stuff cannot be worth the RRP if they can afford to permanently discount/offer money off but I for one am a happy bunny!!

I've received so many Boden £10 vouchers recently - it's become a bit of a joke in our household.

I'm very grateful and always use them though, just in case Johnnie's reading! Grin

How do you get these £10 vouchers?

RomComPhooey · 02/06/2016 10:15

You must be buying full price stuff. I buy most of my Boden stuff in the sales and Johnny doesn't send me vouchers.

I very, very rarely buy at full price, in fact I can't remember a time when I did. I would have to really want it to justify that. But there are always codes for Boden, usually 20 or 25% off so I usually always use those.

As for the £10 vouchers, not sure how or why (except for bday one) I got them.

The bday one though, I'm sure it's a mistake as the code on the card usually matches the one on the email but they were diff so I thought I'd chance it.....and they both worked.

But yes, I'm most grateful and always use them, so many thanks Johnnie!!! Wink

I had four £10 tokens in quick succession last autumn - two by email and two by post. One was "for my birthday"! I've also had two this spring. However I never buy full price! I only get sale stuff and/or use a good code, I don't buy a lot anyway, and I quite often return things (for free, with the codes I used!) so I'm baffled. Johnnie must just lurve me as he his copywriters so often proclaims.

I seldom - if ever - buy at full price either and the vouchers seem to keep arriving.

They usually arrive shortly after a purchase and I wish I'd waited. Having said that though, I've had "you haven't shopped with us in a while" ones too!

I haven't had any in a while...the best I had was 25% off and a £10 voucher.

I would never pay full price and just think they should be realistic with the pricing. DS has some zip off cargoes that need replacing but £36 is ridiculous...

I can't open my front door for tenner off vouchers

They just annoy me though. Just price everything realistically int first place dammit

I have had a few money off vouchers by email lately. They are addressed "Hey Michael". Hmm Johnny loves me enough to send a voucher, but not enough to get my name right. Grin

I got a custom catalogue with my name on the front cover, reminiscing about my first purchases.

Still not ordering though.

Well if anyone's got a £10 voucher they're not planning to use, they are welcome to PM me! Grin

Seriously I haven't had one since Christmas and never ever got one for my birthday. Got my eye on quite a few things and could do with a voucher!

Oh I got a customised catalogue as well - it was a source of massive amusement to my DH. I was strangely proud; Johnny loves me.

I never buy without at least 20% off. That would be daft!

I just cannot understand Boden's marketing strategy. The only time I ever buy anything from Boden is when I get a £10 voucher, and I'd say I've had at least 3 this year alone, and a discount code to use at the same time. But then I rarely buy anything that costs over £20 full price (socks, kid's t-shirts etc). So once the discount code and voucher has been applied, plus free postage, I end up actually paying around £2-3 to Boden. HOW is this sensible marketing?

I got a half birthday one a few weeks ago. I didn't even realise it was my half birthday.

i buy at full price and have NEVER received a voucher/birthday/coupon code. So it seems it is me that is funding the vouchers :(

If they didn't send me a thick glossy catalogue every three weeks, maybe they could reduce their exorbitant prices!!

DH and I both received £10 vouchers recently. With my voucher I bought a Cami vest for £10, got free postage, and received 40p cash back via Quidco so it's actually cheaper than free!
