Converse are lovely but too flat and unsupportive.

I'm currently wearing my running shoes (not that I run now a days) or Birkenstocks.

What can you recommend that's not completely un- stylish.

Have you tried Skechers "Go Walks".?

Fitflops. Honestly, they have transformed my life. Previously a long term PF sufferer and actually due to a recommendation here on MN gave them a go. Bought a pair of their ankle sneakers for dog walking and wanted to cry with relief. Since then (that was about two years ago) I've had hardly any pain with my feet, and am gradually moving my shoes over to all Fitflops. They are more expensive than I would like (hence the slow migration) but it's worth it to be pain free and so blissfully comfortable.

I second Flitflops, again following advice on here. They are really comfy with PF.
I also wear Merrells with insoles.

Ouch! Fit flops look £!

Will try on some sketchers, but not sure about the slip on styles.

Completely sympathise with you on PF pain. Suffered for about 18 months until I tried fit flops. May be ££ but worth every penny and last years.

Good luck with your search and hope you're pain-free soon

Tbh I'm not so bad at the minute - Birkenstocks and my running trainers agree with my feet - but if I wear the wrong thing then I notice the next day!

Sketchers go walk - my fashionista 11 year old approves of mine so they must be ok!!
Only problem is that they've ruined me for other shoes as nothing is as comfortable. I also have some Gola/cath Kidston trainers that I love.

Another vote for FFs. Definitely worth the money. And some retailers eg Cloggs have price reductions on some.

I like my nike juvenate in grey.
So soft and light.
Like walking on foam mattresses, and I look cool grin

Not ready for go walks for another 20 years (I'm 44).

My DD20 was admiring them the other day grin
