Help a beauty virgin?!

I am coming up 30 and still haven't got a 'beauty regime', I have combination skin that breaks out a lot, can anyone help me with basic, easy to use/fit in my day products that'll make a difference?

Ideally something that'll clear my skin and 'brighten' it a bit? Without it being tons of work, I work nights have have 2 DSs on my own, time for pampering is limited!

Only looking for cleansers/moisturisers really, make up is a whole new world I'm not yet ready for!

Oh and ideally cheap-ish (and from Boots, I have points to spend!)

Peaches and Clean cleanser by Soap and Glory is very good.

It's quite strongly fragranced though, so possibly not ideal if you have sensitive skin.

I massage it in and remove with a facecloth wrung out in warm water. It leaves my skin lovely and soft.

Thanks, will have a look at that

Just tired of managing to somehow have knackered, dull skin with teenage spots!

My difficult, sensitive skin was transformed when I stopped washing or cleansing it in the morning. I just splash with tepid water, dry and apply a lightish moisturiser before slap. Cleansing at night is micellar water or a balm/hot cloth affair, again with lightish moisturiser and a bit of eye cream. Good products are Garnier micellar water, Olay day moisturiser with serum (slim purple bottle), Simple eye cream, Nivea Q10 serum and eye cream.

Oh, and don't think that spots = oil = rigorous cleansing. Treat your skin very gently and try to maintain the natural moisture as much as posible.
