I hope I have remembered the chosen title correctly - I have used Crem's title (think it was Crem's) as the old thread is full.

Herbs - will be fab to have lots of time en famille in the summer but eek re new job on horizon.

Inspired by CV and Rose I have put 10 things on Ebay. They range from size 10 to 16. WTF.

Thanks for the new thread, Monty - great title, Crem! Sorry to hear about dp's redundancy, Herbs. I was out with a friend last night to whom the same thing has happened. Apart from anything else, they can be annoying gits to have knocking around the house (no idea if that applies to yours, apols if not).

Ongoing sympathy to all other crepeys toiling in examland. Shocked by your dd's wrong exam paper, BTM - good on her for coping.

Sorry to hear about DP, Herbs. Very unsettling. Has he been given a decent notice period and a big wedge of cash to soften the blow?

I've had a shit day at work - being pushed and pulled in all directions. I tried to set up a five minute meeting for one day next week with Hands Off Boss, and I couldn't even get that sorted before his phone was ringing and he was waving me away. Grr. I'm in dire need of an Expectations Exchange. I have Expectations, and he needs to know what they are, because he is NOT meeting them at the moment.

All the while I was simultaneously trying to mediate a row between DH and DS. My mobile phone rang every five minutes with one calling to complain about the other. I'm not sure who was the bigger child. DH has now huffed off to golf, and DS, exhausted by a morning of Love Poetry, is asleep beside me on the sofa.

Monty, a half-used bottle of perfume!

I have just returned from an hour and a half in the dentists chair - took her 45mins to remove the old crown - and now have a temporary crown. I can't eat anything too hot, too cold, too hard or too sticky At least she didn't say nothing too alcoholic!

DD seems to be enjoying her freedom from the exam-mill - apparently has had her nails done and is now in the gym. She's got a party tonight then off to Oxford for the bank hol for a festival

Still, it's half-term!

Monty do people buy half used perfume? I thought about selling some stuff but with my limited photo/computer skills decided it wasn't for me if the return wasn't very much or no bids. Might need to rethink it.

He is generally rather useful to have around the house, as is prone to tidying up and making food. A little too prone to tidying, as I can never find anything once he's had one of his 'turns'.

And maybe he can do childcare while I do something like marking exams, or do a useful course on something career-enhancing.

BTM, that sounds grim. My dentist has said he will look at replacing my wonky crown in three months' time - it is 'migrating'.

I have been sort of watching the cricket whilst I did my agenda, etc. It is from Durham and the commentators have been complaining about the cold - now it has finished the sun has come out.

I have piles of stuff that I would like to ebay, but I cba with all the faff. I think I read somewhere about people who will sell your stuff for you and you get 70% of what they make. That would do me.

I spent this afternoon trying to sort out a flight and hotel for next week. Our travel people managed (helpfully) to book me on a flight that doesn't exist, but fortunately they sorted it out.

Our new head of department is treating me as her PA - "Can you call X and set up a meeting with him for me?" No I fucking can't.

Hatty, it's a crown and post and, unfortunately, it is moving within the gum so the tooth is now out of line. I am not convinced that it is not moving because these days I always sleep on my side - dentist thought it was an interesting point. Enjoy your wine. DH and I have just opened a bottle of Bellini, courtesy of Aldi.

Yay for the footy!

I need to cook Something. I am tired of cold salmon, salad and potatoes, which DH seems to think we can live on, day in, day out. Sometimes he suggests chicken instead, but it is so fucking dull.

A younger man (I think he must be in his 30s) that I work with indirectly - he's in another office - has started calling me "Mrs Robinson". I'm not amused by this, and have asked him to desist, as it feels slightly insulting.

There is a roaring trade in half-finished bottles of perfume on eBay. And samples which people have decanted into small bottles. I have bought and sold several. The only watch-out is you can't send by courier (MyHermes etc), only Royal Mail.
