I love lipsticks. My current favourite is probably MAC crosswires which is quite a bright corally pink. I also love Lancome Rose The which is a lovely nude that suits my pale skin.

What are your favourites? Looking for inspiration smile

Current favourite is Mac Captive, which comes out as a sort of plummy nude on me. In fact, it looks how I expected Mac Mehr to look, but that one is just brown on me!

MardleBum Mon 23-May-16 13:49:14

Mine is MAC Mehr.

It's a brilliantly useful soft, matt dusky rose/plum, with a hint of brown in it but not too much. It's so versatile and goes with everything.

MardleBum Mon 23-May-16 13:50:06

yes, plummy-nude is the phrase I was looking for too!

Nabootique Mon 23-May-16 13:51:27

I am quite jealous Mardle, because now I still have to find a lipstick that looks how I expected Captive to look! I think I have weirdly pigmented lips, or maybe very acidic/alkaline ones!

Oh how funny I see you mentioned Mehr too!

Gawd, sorry, internet slow so posted twice by mistake.

Mac Ruby Woo is my all time, it's a super matte true red. Just perfect.

MrsLettuce Mon 23-May-16 13:54:16

all time favourite, obviously.

My current favourite is clarins Joli rouge brilliant in pink magnolia (15)

I first saw it on a lisa eldridge video. Lovely sheer pink - perfect for spring.

MrsLettuce Mon 23-May-16 13:58:18

I wear Rimmel Kate 111, Kiss of Life for every day though. The colour is almost indistinguishable from Ruby Woo, it's matte but not as matte and a good bit cheaper.

Is Mehr like Fast Play? Love that one. Also loving Clinique chubby stick in heaping hazelnut at the moment too.

I've never tried a MAC red.

squizita Mon 23-May-16 14:09:06

Kiko Temptress in 01 (glossy nude)

Avon Pure Matte (seriously as good as MAC or Bobby Brown) in au naturale (matte dark nude) or coral.

I'm going through a cheeky nudey phase.

Nabootique Mon 23-May-16 14:12:07

According to Google images, Fast Play is more similar to Twig than Mehr. More brown, rather than the pink tones of Mehr (except on me, apparently <bitter>)

StrawberryRiceCake Mon 23-May-16 14:17:52

Maybe I would prefer Mehr if that's the case. I was hoping Fast Play would look a bit more pink on me.

MardleBum Mon 23-May-16 14:29:15

Have they stopped making Mehr? I've just looked on their website and it's not on there. confused

Good job i've got two.

MardleBum Mon 23-May-16 14:34:56

Yes it is, ignore me.

hollyisalovelyname Mon 23-May-16 16:10:30

Mac Asian Flower
Pinky lilac.

At the moment an orangey red gloss form ysl. Love orange in the summer

sammy891 Mon 23-May-16 17:05:01

Mac Mehr over here too. Very nice pink on me. Captive was too dark for me but then again I have been told I have a lot of blue undertone my lips so that changes the shade.

hollyisalovelyname Mon 23-May-16 17:59:01

Lndummy you must have very white terth.
I find orange and peachy lipsticks really suit my colouring but make my teeth look very yellow smile

maggiethemagpie Mon 23-May-16 18:00:20

I'm a clinique black honey almost lipstick fan. Such a lovely shade, quite unusual too. Hope they never discontinue!

auldspinster Mon 23-May-16 18:11:30

Guerlain Rouge Google in Garconne and all the Guerlain Kiss Kiss reds (I dont work for Guerlain).

StrangeDream Mon 23-May-16 18:12:18

MAC Russian Red. Bit darker than Ruby Woo and suits my skin tone perfectly.

TennesseeMountainPointOfView Mon 23-May-16 18:14:18

Me too maggie - I have one in every handbag and one in each makeup bag, so I am never caught without it!

I also really like the M&S Autograph lip crayon that came with the advent calendar last year, it's a pale beigey gold, I've got two of them.
