Cross body bag

I need a new bag. I like cross body ones as hate faffing with the strap on my shoulder.
Has anyone seen any simple, probably brown, medium sized bags around?

You don't mention budget but Mimi Berry's bags are lush

Lovely, but 10x my budget ;)
I'm thinking well under £50, preferably under £30 :(

I quite like this one, although £40 is a bit much for me. It is leather though...

This is nice and much cheaper but I really want something that goes with everything and can be used for my (not super-smart) work.

I found that my last (leather) fat face bag was not at all hard wearing. Tkmaxx have quite a few.

more

I just got a crossbody workbag for about £40 and a little Calvin Klein one for £30 from Tkmaxx. My lttle secret is that they are supposedly men's bags.

I got a really nice one in Oasis this week. They have a few nice cross body brown ones. I got this:

I second both TKMAXX and looking at the Manbags!

I have one, like a medium sized messenger bag, ...kenneth cole, just plain black, no fiddly sections. all very open and easy to use, nice easy pop-buckle thing to get it open and closed.

it was £30 and is leather.! I was amazed.

and when i say no fiddly sections, i mean there are sections and they are all very easy to use...not wrestling to fit a pen in, the phone bit is big enough to keep the phone in, and not need forceps to extract it, all the zips have nice easy to get hold of tags on

decent velcro and poppers also!

Kipling top end of budget and not leather but they are strong, machine washable, hold a ton of stuff and last forever.

Or some more Amazon cross body bags : This leather one, or This, or This?

I do like the manbag type, but they're just a tad big for me.
I have visited tkmaxx, though, and I think I have one that will be about right. Managed to get it for £25 and its tan leather and really simple, so should do the job.

Debenhams usually have a few very similar to the brown leather fat face one above, of varying budgets, but, crucially, often have some in their sales which seem to be on mid season, end of season, all season! Might be worth a look. I got a brown leather compact back pack for £50 instead of £100 a couple of months ago.

Have to agree with the others, drop in to T.K.Maxx and have a look around, they have a lot more variety in store and you can find great quality items.

I have the fat face Alice bag in black and I love it. I do agree though that the leather may not wear all that well. In some ways though I don't mind as it IS leather
