I'm currently wearing Ed Hardy perfume- I switch between Hearts and Daggers and Ed Hardy Original. I love both of them but find the scent just doesn't last on me. I want to be one of those lovely swishy ladies who always smells good.

What perfume should I try next?

hello!
my fave for years has been marc jacobs by marc jacobs.
aTM i am using Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea scent spray
both are light and summery

i also have Hermes eau do merveilles. thats an evening scent for me.
i recently tested Chloe parfum and it was lovely
the Body shop have scents and their Fig one is also on my list. It is very summery and quite delicious IMO.

FWIW i tend to spray onto my clothes i think the scent stays a bit longer.

happy perfume hunting!

I'm a channel fan and walk through a fine mist of it daily. I normally smell of coffee. D bleach by the time I go anywhere though...

Are you sure it doesn't still smell? Perfumes that suit us become undetectable to us but others can still smell them. Ask other people!! Also, wear pure perfume instead of eau de toilette or eau de parfum as oil based scents last longer.

Ed Hardy perfumes are known for not lasting and generally not being of good quality. I find that musky scents tend to create a cloud around me. I'm using Armani Si EDT (don't like EDP) and it lasts ages even though it is EDT. I also like Dior Addict EDP, LPRN Guerlain EDP, Estée Lauder Sensuous. Another one that is very potent is LVEB Lancôme -one spritz is enough. From all the perfumes I have gone through I think that most of Armani, Lancôme, Chanel, Guerlain and Estée Lauder create that swish of scent.
Regarding to using EDP or pure perfume - I don't think it works like it used to. Firstly pure perfume is extremely expensive and difficult to get - most high street available perfumes don't come in pure form. You can get pure perfume from Chanel and Dior -I think they are available from Boots even.
Secondly EDP and EDT versions of the same scent are quite often very different, and in some cases they have nothing in common whatsoever - example Dior Addict EDP and EDT. EDP is a sexy, woody, dark vanilla scent and EDT is a sparkly jasmine.
I think the best bid is to get samples and see how they work for you. Try what you like in Debenhams or wherever you are free to smell bottles and then order samples of the ones you liked you might try begging the SA but they seem to never have any samples
Beautyspin uk is a good place for samples apparently.
