smart trainers

So, I have a pair of TOMS, and some nice Timberland sandals for the summer (and a slightly grotty pair of Converse). I find my feet get really hot in TOMS, converse aren't very supportive for long walks (i.e day trips out with family), and sandals aren't great if there's rain predicted.

So, what are my options? I don't like sporty looking trainers, but want to have something smart-ish (I wear chinos, khakis, or denim shorts in summer), preferably I can wear socks with. Budget of around £50 maximum I'd say.

Bumping as I'd be interested in some smart trainers too!

Thanks for the links, Tate I was after desert boots but had not seen any in the shops: I have now ordered two pairs from Seasalt.
