How much water do you really drink per day ?

Am trying to compare and work out why I looked significantly better three years ago, aging aside the only thing I can think I did different is less water ... Could that really be it ?

None.

Two cups of tea, maybe three, per day. Then nothing unless I go out somewhere or we have wine (the latter only about twice a week).

I like water, other than two, wine and gin it's the only think I drink. But I don't drink it often. I don't drink the others often either.
I went out last night for dinner and had a glass of sparkling mineral water. Other than that I had two cups of green tea and one normal tea.

I look better now than in the past dud to suitable skin care. But it certainly hadn't been anything to do with drinking water.

I have been aiming for 2pints a day lately (plus teas and coffees) as I've started exercising and find it much easier if I've had lots of water. My skin looks better, I have been using nip+fab glycolic serum lately though so I don't know how much effect each has had.

Loads, a good 2.5l I imagine, although largely in the form of herbal tea except when it's really hot. I find my skin looks grey and sad very quickly if I have a few days of drinking less.

I've recently downloaded an app where I can track my fluid intake. It took into account my height, weight and the fact I'm pregnant and gave me a target for how much I should be drinking everyday (1.45L per 24hrs). I usually reach about 70-80% of that total amount Blush

Probably about 3l per day plus four cups of tea. Can't bear having less. I'm always thirsty an always going to the loo. I guess my skin is good though.

About a litre in rooibos tea and weak cordial. If I drink less I get headaches the day after.

About 2-2.5l plus tea. When I used to drink 3l a day, my skin was amazing.

Sounds like it could be a major factor then, I'm so lazy with skin care so if water can make any difference at all that's got to be the easiest way

Urologist informed me that anything less than 2 litres is not enough, so make an effort to drink more. I think most people don't drink enough.

Amazed at all of you putting away litres of water! On a normal day, my total fluid intake is usually 2-3 cups of coffee, a few mouthfuls of water before bed and a can of diet 7up/lilt/caffeine free coke in the evening. That is literally all. If I'm in a hot climate or flying I will add to that maybe a litre of water a day. I just don't get thirsty I think...

I used to make a concerted effort to drink more, but I believe that any benefit I saw was psychosomatic. The constant need to go to the loo was just too disruptive though.

About 1.5litres of plain water and about another half litre of herbal teas most days. Probably getting on for 3 litres total on a gym day. No caffeine or fizzy drinks. Skin looks great Smile

I aim for up to 6 pints (3.4l Confused) a day, but normally nearer 5, plus tea/coffee, as I'm low carbing. It's made not a single difference to my skin, which has always been shit - congested and porey.

Easily 1lt of still water plus two cups of coffee, one tea and one veg juice (250ml). If I don't have the veg juice then I need more water otherwise I get a headache the next day. I often can't believe I drink so much, as prior to dc2 I drank virtually no additional water. Skin is good but that is thanks to expensive skincare, as it goes to pot when I stop using, sorry!

fluffy How long have you been drinking that amount for? (Sorry to sidetrack)

I've never seen any difference in my skin either, fine lines are my thing, my eyes look whiter and brighter though when I'm drinking lots of water.

4 pints plus a large mug of tea or coffee is probably about my average intake, no idea if that's enough though.

Quite a lot. Probably 2-3 litres of actual water plus about 4 herbal teas. I'm always drinking and get quite anxious if I don't have enough water with me, I feel thirsty very easily but think it might be a habit.

My skin is alright but I don't look amazing or anything!

3/4 litres a day - I drink loads of liquid, always have. I feel awful if I don't

MitzyLeFrouf · 12/05/2016 13:25

Lots. Between 2 - 3 litres I'd guess.

I don't drink tea or coffee and hardly ever have fizzy drinks and I actively enjoy drinking water so it's not like I'm forcing it down either.

2 or 3 litres, more if it's hot weather. I get migraines if I don't keep my fluid intake up.

Loads, between two and three litres, probably more like three.

Get regular compliments on my skin.

I definitely look younger when I drink loads of water, moisturise, sleep lots and eat well.

At least 3L not including: 2-3 cups of coffee, about 3-4 mint teas, and a can of coke some days. I am always thirsty! Can't say I've ever really noticed a difference with my skin though.
