Please recommend a bubble bath I can give to my mum

We've had a shit year and I just want to cheer her up. We live at opposite ends of the country so weekly visits are out. She loves her bath though and I want to send her a really nice bath set - bubbles, soap, maybe aromatherapy oils or something - so she can try to relax in the evenings if she's feeling down.

Aromatherapy oils for grief, stress and general low moods if anyone knows about that sort of thing?

Any recommendations?

Thanks x

Don't know how much you're willing to spend but this makes for a lovely gift from Aromatherapy Associates.

Sorry about your shit year, have a look at Aromatherapy Associates bath jewels. I bought a set of 10 bottles that include destress, deep relax, inner strength and lots inbetween. They do a big bottle of one type but the small bottles mean you can collect a 'wardrobe' of them for various situations. I bought mine after Christmas with a great discount so have a good look around in case you can get a deal. They're not cheap but they are very well renowned and excellent quality.

Thanks botemp and coleus for that excellent tip! I'm pregnant hence off the booze and so baths is my relaxing time - I've been looking for some really nice luxurious bath oils and have just ordered these.

I always used to include in presents to my late mum a joke bubble bath - kid's bubble bath in the shape of Darth Vader, or soaps with plastic eyeballs which emerged in them as you used the soaps, and so on. I gave her proper presents, too, but these made her laugh! And she used them, too!

It's a wee bit out of my budget sadly Sad

I want to send her a sort of care package of around £40 which will have the bubble bath as part of it, any other ideas?

I do like the Darth Vader idea Grin

Not aromatherapy but Crabtree and Evelyn is lovely - and constantly having special offers. The Spa range is pretty uplifting. And the rose range is beautiful.

Why did I write 'spa'? I meant the 'La Source' range.Smile

Dead Sea salts with frankincense and rose petals, it's available from boots. I think this is the one. Someone gave me it after birth of dc1 it was the best bath I ever had. I felt like a princess lying in the bath with rose petals all around me,

It's not cheap but my DM loves the Jo Malone Red Roses bath oil.

Not a package but the restorative body oil is good and v. destressing:

Also I love Laura Mercier creme brulee bubble bath - it smells edibly delicious - but its not aromatherapy-ish.

It comes as part of a set here:

Laura Mercier I always think is super luxurious for bath stuff, and wonderful fragrances.
