Anyone had their eyebrows tattooed?

I've got a consultation tomorrow after work. What questions should I be asking (apart from 'how can I be sure you won't make me look like this >>> Shock'?

Also, if you've had it done, would you recommend it?

I am sick and tired of drawing my eyebrows on every day, but the tattooing is expensive, so I need to weigh up whether it's worth it for the amount of time it lasts (I guess I'd need a top up after a few months and then every year after that)?

Interested to hear people's experiences.

Thank you!

Noooooo, don't do it!

I haven't had it done but I know people who have and they all just look strange. Tattooed eyebrows look tattooed. Honestly. They never look natural.

Plus this current trend will pass, then what will you do?

I disagree, Ive had mine done they are amazing!!!
I had virgin brows, never touched, plucked, penciled etc
I am fair so it was abig step for me.
Mine are microbladed so very natural looking, individual strokes as oppose to block drawing.

Thanks Haribo.

How long ago did you have them done? Has the colour lasted?

I already draw mine on so I'm not sure they could look any weirder...

Disagree with PP - my sister and a friend have both had them done and they look great, just as they do when drawn in with eye pencil. My sister is quite fair and always struggled to get brow pencil to match up - the tattooist did a great job, they don't look tattooed just like well groomed brows. She was recommended the lady who did them by a friend - I think that's probably key, getting my them done by someone good! Be aware they are really scabby when first done and take time to heal...so you might want to plan around not leaving the house too much for a few days

I've had mine done - nobody noticed as they look incredibly natural. Bear in mind that initially they will look darker - they soften and fade as they heal. Don't let water touch them for 10 days and don't pick any lifting skin off. You'll need to use a sunblock on them when sunbathing.

I had mine done last July and will have a top up in the next couple of months, but I could get away with longer as they're still fine.

Having it done has changed my life in that I'm much more confident and don't freak out if I'm caught in the rain Grin

I think its around 9 months ive had mine (also got top and bottom eye liner too Shock )
The day you have them they are dark, they get darker as they scab/heal then can reduce up to 50% in colour.
It was also a friend that did mine no mates rates but trusted 110%

Thanks Starman.

I've got an initial consultation somewhere that is meant to be good. I guess I'll get a feel for it when I'm there as well. If all the staff look permanently surprised I might reconsider!

My brow style is thick anyway so the current trend for thicker brows just happens to fit in with what my face already looks like.

Thanks again Haribo.

And yes, Sarah, I would love to be able to swim on holiday without holding my head out of the water the whole time!!

My brows are very fair, sparse and my skin is fair too. When I went for my consultation the lady advised me not to have it done as she said the colour she would need to use eventually fades to an orange colour and it wouldn't look very natural on me.

This was micro blading too. She is very reputable in the town I live in but I do sort of wonder when others on here say there brows were the same and they got it done and all is fabulous!

Hmm, yes, I read something about the potential for them to fade to funny colours. Definitely worth bearing in mind. I hope that they would tell me, like yours did, if they didn't think it was the right treatment for me.

Id post a pic but my phone just died and its on there....
I do now have the occasional brow wax and tint, Wax obviously to tame the strays and Tint as ive said the blonde shows on top of tattoo. so although they probably will have faded perhaps my brows are bold, and always there!!!
But im more then happy with mine.
