Brazilian blow dry home kit

Had bbd in a salon not quite three months ago and love it, but can see it's wearing off a bit

Interested in the home kit on Amazon and know some mners swear by it - is it still as good? And should I wait till the current one's worn off before I try it?

Yes it's brilliant. You might need someone to help you with it cos it's quite fiddly and time consuming and you need to really straighten in tiny strands

how and sally, and can you just dry while brushing or does it have to be full on blow dry?

Can't do links as on phone but if you just search Brazilian blow dry on Amazon it's a kit in a pink box for full kit or blue box for top up. The only difference is you get clips and comb in full kit. It's roughly 25 quid. I think it's better as when you do your own (or your mate does it) you put more product on. Me and sis treat each other 3 X per year and only in last couple of weeks do we both need to actually straighten our curly hair. Before then it's a very quick go on the ends it we've slept funny!

Nearly forgot. Your eyes may go into watering overdrive when it's being dried!

Do you just blow dry before product, or straighten, too? I'm crap at blow drying.

How long is your hair? Is the quality of it affected when it wears off? Does it improve the quality when it's done as in does it feel less dry?

Has anyone with straight but slightly damaged hair had it done and does it improve it?

It is going to damage your hair, I wouldn't do it again with bleached hair, mine snapped off

I have used it a few times and it does work, but.... I wouldn't use it again. Far too many nasty chemicals. They removed the very dangerous formaldehyde, but replaced it with a very similar chemical, which could be just as dangerous, but they are so far allowed to use it.

If something makes your eyes stream, makes some people sick and develop severe headaches, I would stay away from it. It made my chest hurt when I breathed it in and the drying the stuff into your hair stage made my eyes so sore and watery, I could hardly finish it.

This is just my experience and personal opinion, but whenever I see a new thread about this, I feel I have to share.

Just done mine tonight. Took 4 bloody hours but the results will be amazing. No adverse reactions from any chemicals X

This product contains formaldehyde, which is, I believe carcinogenic and is no longer used in most keratin treatments due to the risks.
