What to buy for my first Korean BB cream?

Hello mumsnetters!

I've been thinking of perhaps ordering a BB cream from Korea as I've heard such good things about them, but have no idea where to start! For an idea of what I'm looking for, I am:-

  • NC15-20
  • Combination skin
  • Skin often dehydrated
  • Looking for SPF
  • Looking for a satin/slightly dewy finish. Neither like matte finishes or looking like an oil slick
  • Looking for a medium coverage
*Looking for a price point of less than £12 per 30mls
  • Acne-prone, although this is improving

I've heard great things about the Etude House Blooming Fit and Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly, but have no idea if these are good places to start!

I'm coming to place-mark as I have similar needs!

Do you know which ingredients cause the acne? I wear holika holika clearing bb cream, which is fine, but the moisturising version contains caster oil, which is a big no no for me

derek Absolutely no idea! The spots I get tend to be cystic and hang around a long time, leaving dark marks in the process. Nothing seemed to either help or provoke them, but they have been there mostly on my cheeks for a few years now (after pretty clear teenage years, I am not 23 and the acne started when I was 20). I've recently started taking better care of my skin, and adding an acid cleanser (a Pixi glow tonic dupe or the extreme Nip + Fab pads), Effaclar's AI targeted treatment and Amie's deep cleansing mask has helped my skin a lot. I haven't had any new spots in a few weeks, which is a miracle for me.

What do you like/dislike about the clearing bb?

What she said ^^
I use it all the time, am mega pale and spot prone. You can slap it on virtually without a mirror and it gives good coverage
