I'm rather (very very) overweight and my fav jeans have just ripped Blushthey are next lift/shape slim fit size 16. Ordered a new pair of the same thing & I literally look poured into them - but the size 18 is ginormous.

Desperately need some new ones x3 as am living in them at the moment (fed up, knackered & fat obvs).

Any suggestions of where to go/try? Heading to town tmw which has all the usual suspects!

Next have loads of styles and even branded ones. You could try and get a different pair from their choice and try in the comfort of your own home.
I have had a few pair of skinnies from George and tesco and they have been great. What about Jeggings? White stuff ones are great and look like normal jeans

jeggings

Don't laugh but M&S relaxed skinnies are the best cut I've found in ages for overweight people like me. They don't look too sausage-y because the cut heads towards straight legged. And they don't carve your waist in half when you sit down. Worth a look.

Gap high waisted are very comfy and quite forgiving but don't go baggy at the knees.

Note the pockets on the rear on the last link. They flatter the bottom more. I really love those. I have the ones in the first link. They are super comfy and look good. I will buy the ones with the pockets at one point.

I always think if you can squeeze into them at all that's the perfect fit. Denim seems to stretch massively, and too big always looks sloppy. Squeeze yourself in and wear around the house until they loosen up a bit before wearing out.

Disclaimer: they will shrink again after washing, but the process can be repeated!

I bought a pair of F&F Tesco ones because I was post baby, still losing weight and didn't want to spend much money, and I've been really impressed with them!

No gap here unfortunately but I could order online - although I remember getting stuck in a pair of gap jeans a few years ago Grin

For comfort always buy with lycra and if not then size up. Rigid denim keeps its shape but isnt that comfy.

I have a few white stuff skirts so might try their jeggings - although can I really wear them in a size 16/18?
Will try m&s too.
When I say poured into them I really mean sprayed on. Really uncomfy & not a good look!

It depends upon your proportions. It also depends upon what you wear them with. If you have an ahem ample rear then wearing them with a long top will be fine. Also ankle boots to balance the whole look. For summer, a chunky wedge sandal with a bit of height to elongate the leg.

Gap. Gap. Gap.

Order in loads of different styles and sizes and return what is no good.

I've recently spent a bit more on top end brands of jeans and I can honestly not really see the difference.

And if you register with gap online for their emails you will get regular offers of 30 percent off. I never play full price there.

Another vote for Gap. Their true skinnies are great at holding tummies in if you're an apple like me.
