Admittedly I've only checked Debenhams so it's not like there's a UK-wide shortage grin but I'd like to buy a pair. Any recommendations?

I have a pair of these from River Island. They are nice and soft to the touch. Might be a bit lighter in colour than what you were looking for though?

Topshop have their Jamie style in khaki, or at least my local one did yesterday. If you want to go spendy, there are a couple of khaki J Brand styles this season.
