Summer clothes for an HOC winter

I couldn't find a current thread on this. Has anyone found any lovely high street clothes for spring/summer that would suit a sultry winter?
I'd usually live in black, navy, white and burgundy but I want something to brighten up my wardrobe for summer. All I can find is tan, coral and orange.
Thanks.

It's a perennial problem! I tend to wear loads of black, white and navy and just aim to channel South of France c.1930.

Finery have some good (other) colours for us at the moment though. Have you looked there?

I live in black and white tbh, with the occasional bit of bright pink.

Just realise I posted the exact same question this time last year! www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/2357489-How-to-dress-in-summer-when-youre-a-winter

With me saying exactly the same thing as I've said here! :)

I don't really like white but this year I've bought light grey skinny trousers from M&S which I'll wear with my deep winter colour tops - navy, greens, burgundy (i.e. contrast) and am working myself up to ordering some of the red saltwater sandals.

Of course given the current weather the answer should be "exactly the same as you do in the winter" Grin

something like this look is very summery

I'm a jewel winter so I wear
Navy or white as a base
Raspberry
Bright blue
ice green
Emerald
Silver sandals for evening
I struggle as I'm also natural injenue which clashes winter colours during the summer

I love red, royal blue and purple with white or grey. Also emerald and raspberry. I love it when it's bright and I can wear my 'play' colours, as a sultry winter who would have killed to be a jewel winter!

I can never work out what sort of green emerald is. Can anyone link to something they've seen/bought that is emerald? I've seen nice green stuff but when I try them on they make me look sallow.

This or this. I personally prefer the shade a bit darker than the latter, but I would classify both as emerald. Not that I'm an expert mind you. I haven't seen my colour swatches for ages, and tend to just assume that if I can wear it with one of my (many) lipsticks then it's a winter colour.

tickled I have the same problem with emerald green yet it's meant to be one of my best colours. That HOF Cardi didn't look great on me but I've got one from landsend which looks great. I dont wear a lot of emerald simply as I find it difficult to get the right shade.

In summer I love navy and also chinese/lagoon blue but these don't often exist. I like splashes of pink. I wear grey or silver shoes/sandals/trainers and I also have a stone bag which I love in summer.

Ive seen a few ice colours around although I only really suit ice blue.

I too stick to white (if I can find anything that suits me that's actually white and not off-white, soft white, nearly white etc.), navy, grey, raspberry, fuchia, cobalt blue.

A couple of recent purchases:

Michael Kors dress but in cobalt blue from a local Outlet place.

Summer Dress from Debenhams. Not quite perfect colour wise but will be very useful for holidays.
