Do you like this dress and could you help me with the shoes please?

Hi. I am going to a wedding in Denmark at the end of the month. I have found this dress which I quite like, but also I thought it is quite wearable, not just for special occasions. Do you agree? Do you like it?

I am petite, around 5.2", size 10, nearly an 8 from the waist up. Don't like showing my arms or knees so this dress will definitely reach my knees.

As for shoes, nothing delicate and dainty will suit my body shape. I would favour wedged sandals or something just as comfortable, but I will have to wear tights as my legs look pasty at the moment. Would love to hears some suggestions and opinions please.

I love it. Is instant fake tan an option for your legs? The kind you can wash off? This would be better than tights I think. As for shoes I would wear anything metallic or tan leather with a heel. Peep toe with a bright nail varnish.

Beautiful dress. I think shoes should be quite easy. For a more casual look go for nude or tan leather and if you want more of a party look I would look at gold.

Oh thank you. I'm so glad you like it. I never go to parties or posh evens and don't even recall the last time I went to a wedding, so I find it hard to find suitable attire! Right I have ordered the dress, it might not suit me of course, we'll see.

I probably wouldn't consider an instant fake tan because I know I'll make a complete mess of it, but would consider going for a spray tan, even though I have never had one before.

Nice dress. A spray tan is a good idea. I wore very sheer nude toeless tights on a night out recently. They were flattering on my legs but didn't look as if I was wearing any tights at all.

There are chunkier wooden heels in the shops at the moment which would suit that dress.

Really pretty dress. I'd go nude shoes too. I do nude fishnets. Sounds crazy but they give a really good even coverage without looking like your wearing anything. I wouldn't have believed it until I tried it.

I'm similar size and proportions and get a fair few bits from joy louche.

These look nice if you can get away without tights

The alternative is a style like this which you could wear with tights. I don't love this particular example but you get the idea

Fish nets! I would have never thought of that.

Aging I don't dislike the first pair but for me they'r lacking a bit of platform on the front sole. Too plungy for my wide feet I'm afraid.

I wouldn't get away with the second pair because of the ankle strap; I don't have enough leg to show so really don't want to interrupt the flow Smile

I have never had a spray tan before. If I have it all over I can also go easy on the make up.... Hmmm....

Yep nude fishnets. Sounds like it will do the opposite but it works. I nicked the idea from an ex west end dancer.

The only thing with that dress would be what jacket / cardigan would you put with it? If you need one?

Oh yeah, cardigan/jacket. What shall I do about that one??

Ohhh travelling I like the first lasercut and last rose gold one pretty.

Depending on the true colour of that dress and your shoe colour, maybe a navy cardigan or jacket?

What about these nude wedges from Next ? They look less 'party' than some of the really high sandals posted above...maybe a bit more weddingy?

Oh travelling I couldn't wear any of the shoes you've suggested, they're just not 'me', particularly the kg ones.

I have a pair like this i would wear with that dress.
Bit boring compared to some of the beauties that have previously been posted, but you would get a lot of wear again out of them

Honestly I wouldn't get any wear out of those shoes at all; they're just not something I would ever wear, as stunning as they are.

This is more 'me', I just don't know if they go with the dress or if they're too casual because of the espadrille: www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Michael+Kors+Damita+wedge+high+wedge+heel+sandals/235125324,default,pd.html&_$ja=tsid:44970%7Ccid:202644475%7Cagid:10012774075%7Ctid:pla-102060815875%7Ccrid:54599876515%7Cnw:g%7Crnd:8302794493861424929%7Cdvc:c%7Cadp:1o3%7Cmt:
