Where do you buy jeans for a tall, skinny 14 yr old boy?

He has outgrown the largest size in Gap boys jeans. Suspect even the smallest men's will be too big on the hops and bum ... and am reluctant to send £45 plus on jeans for him as he's growing at such a rate. Any recommendations for reasonable, slim fit jeans please - online! Thanks.

H&M. Got some for tall skinny DSS about a month ago - he's about 5ft 8 I think? He fitted in the 29 waist 34 leg jeans and we also managed to get some in the sale for a fiver.

They do a skinny but not skin tight Jean which fit well although I can't remember what they're called.

And loads of different colours too.

Sounds exactly like my son - asos has lots of choice and the men's start at small enough waist sizes

I ended up getting my DS jeans from top man- super skinny cut, because none of the jeans in any boys dept were skinny enough for his liking 🙄
I think they were about £38 at Christmas

I second H&M - my son's a similar build and he always gets them there.

Next. DS1 takes a 26" waist and a 31" leg there.

Forgot to add they are £25. Men's section not kids.

Place marking. My 14 yo son has a 28" waist and measures 34" inside leg. We'd tried Levis girls, but the vanity sizing meant the waist was too big and a 34 leg was nowhere near long enough (more like a 32). Seems as though we'll be seeing you all at H&M!

Hollister was quite good when ds was at that stage. They usually have a sale that is very reasonable.

Also, I've had them hem let down on a few pairs of jeans. His waist wasn't changing but his legs were still growing. You can get more length than you'd think out if the hem.

Gap ladies skinnies seem popular here. 20 pounds in a gap outlet

H& M or The Officer's Club.

DS is very tall and skinny. it's the Extra long legs that are the issue.

Next - after looking in their mens section a very nice lady told me its possible to order jeans and trousers from the catalogue (for boys up to age 16) plus their trousers have those elasticated waist buttons - perfect for my skinny lanky lovely boy

How tall is he?

Report
Ponymagic · 24/04/2016 23:01

I reckon he must be 5'9" anyway ... he has gone past my 5'7" in the last couple of months. His gap jeans were borderline okay about 3 weeks ago but now sit above his ankle Grin .... and I really wish his feet would stop growing! This teenage growth spurt is expensive!

I'd say to try Next as well. I just wish my skinny boy's feet would stop growing, he's gone from a 7.5 to a 10 since October! And he's only just 13.......he's costing us a small fortune at the moment. Next are also good for school trousers, they do a skinny fit (style) school trouser which helps on lanky lads.

Got one of those too!
Next and h and m men's are great and usually have sale items or discount codes to use

Ah, right. You could try Primark for a 28 32 (only a tenner!). Otherwise Next, I agree.

Top Man does good skinnies too, but they aren't cheap.
