Stretching new satin shoes?

They are only a little bit uncomfortable over the foot at the outer edge of each shoe. Being stilettos, wearing them around the house for a few days is not very practical. Any suggestions?

Are they for your wedding?

If so, buy different shoes! You will be in them all day. Satin shoes don't stretch well, in my experience, but you could try putting wood shoe trees in and stretching them with shoe stretching spray?

I don't really think you can. What material is under the fabric?

I don't know if it will work with satin but...
Put on a pair of socks, put your foot in, warm the tight area with a hairdryer and then work your foot as though you're walking.
It works with leather and suede, don't know about satin.

I had a satin pair when I was a bridesmaid. I massaged all of the upper until it was much more pliable and comfortable. But I echo the above; if they are wedding shoes but a more comfy pair!

It's usually the stitching go that rubs, I would rub the inside of the shoe to soften where it hurts.

My usual life hack for tight shoes is to rub a little liquid soap into the tight spots and stretch area with finger tips, but don't use soap onsatin/fabric shoes

Fill plastic bags with water, tie closed, stuff into shoes, put in freezer.

Satin doesn't give so you won't be able to stretch them (advice from Christian Louboutin sales assistant when I was choosing wedding shoe sizes). You can get leather to give and mould to your foot but satin doesn't do this.

Vaseline on the edges and stitching all soften it but they won't get any bigger.

If they hurt, take them back. They don't fit. Painful shoes show on your face , one reason why models look so fed up.

We don't get married until 4pm and I will wear flip flops in the car! I have put loads of socks inside them and will leave them for a week and see what happens. They were £8 on Ebay despite being brand new so I'm happy to give them a go.
