Maxi dress with sleeves

Have to go with ex-DP to take DSs to his sisters wedding this summer and need a nice dress, already not sure about a long weekend with Ex and then being around his bitch of a sister

I'm fat (size 22) and boobs are best feature so a good v-neck would be best, want sleeves as its peak summer but need to hide fat arms, don't want to be faffing with cardigan/shrug etc

I'm pale with reddy/brown hair so not white, like florals/greens/blues

Anyone help?!

Do you really, absolutely have to go? Obviously that's not what this thread is about but still, it sounds like you're dreading it and for good reason!

So, assuming you really do have to go, what sort of budget for the dress?

Oh, also, how formal is it likely to be?

Yes I have to go unfortunately DSs have a role in the wedding and ex won't take them on his own (we live very up north, the wedding is very down South and we don't drive so a lot to do on your own I guess)

Budget? Up to £100 if amazing and makes me look like Kate moss (😜) but obviously less would be great

Oh sorry, forgot formality - it's a church wedding and his sister will want it to be all about 'the show' so fairly formal I expect

Could you go with X but not go to the wedding?
And spend the money in something you want??
Just a thought

how about something like this? Maybe?

A maxis with sleeves that are formal enough for a wedding but not a full on evening dress are like hens teeth at any budget, TBH. Will have a look though.

just nah, unfortunately not, he'd never handle both boys on his own all day, especially at an 'event' where they have to be good
He's also likely to be doing duties, think he's doing father of the bride speech (their father has passed away) so he'll be busy and drinking too

Thanks mrs I know it's a tall order, I'm essentially looking for something to cover all flab appropriately (especially big belly and c-section overhang) whilst trying to look vaguely 'nice' especially next to his size 6 sister

We'll get you sorted!

Would you consider say, this over these?

I'm assuming you've looked at all the dresses in asos? They have quite a few options. Still think something with trouseryness would look better though - less like you're hiding.

Both links are the palazzo trousers? They're ok but look a bit like workwear to me?

Goodness, yes, am rather dozy it seems.

[[http://shop.mango.com/GB/p0/plussize/clothing/shirts/blouses/floral-print-blouse/?id=61070262_57&n=]] I meant. Was meaning the pale trews but the navy are very nice too Confused They're silky so not workwear, no.
