First holiday in 5 years and first holiday as a family with our 1-yr-old son. Very much looking forward to it Grin.

What can I start doing from now to help me feel confident and look good on the beach in a bikini - eeeeeeeek!

I'm 5ft 4.5, weigh 10st 7, am on Slimming World, could do with losing at least half a stone.

Have cellulite, a bit of a mum tum... currently do no exercise Blush.

Give me your best tips!

Drink lots of water.

Start a skin care routine so body and face scrubs, moisturising etc.

Get your nails and eyebrows done.

You could lose a stone in seven weeks with a good diet.

Body brushing or exfoliating and moisturising.

New hair cut?

Spray or fake tan.

Try and fit a bit of exercise in. You'll feel better about your body right away and it's good 'me' time. Don't sound like you need to lose any weight!

This is me! I've lost half a stone and feeling better but need to lose another half really and tone up - I've been doing Zumba at the gym plus Davina DVD - seems to be good for toning and more resistance type stuff. Might me manageable for you to fit in at home - you can just do as much as you have time for

Plus - doesn't really help loads on the beach - but I've just gone out and got lots of new shorts, linen trousers and some nice tops etc - most of my summer stuff is old and tight - also haven't been abroad for 5 years - so feel better just having nice well fitting clothes again

Where are you going?

I def think getting some exercise in would help, I do try and walk every day but I know a dvd or the shred would have better results.

Have been debating whether to get an exercise bike - are they good? Then could just do in front of the TV in the evening?

Will be moisturising and digging out old holiday clothes to see what fits and what needs to be replaced.

Going to Portugal Smile

The amount of calories you would burn on an exercise bike in front of the telly would not be substantial, but any activity is likely to be beneficial for your mental health and heart, lungs, bones etc.

I visited Lisbon recently and it was lovely, you'll have even nicer weather than we did. I'm in a similar 5 week countdown for my holiday Smile

You can do this easily in the time you have. Cut out any white bread, pasta, rice and refined sugars plenty leafy greens grilled chicken, steak, tuna eggs for breakfast and a small amount of carbs like wholegrain seeded bread/brown rice. 8 glasses of water at least along with a fitness dvd at home (you tube if you've no dvd) and if your able try and run/jog 3 times a week. You can do this !

Thank you Vote! Some great tips there. Most of it is just getting my act together and just doing it. I already eat relatively well (brown rice, etc).

I'm in the same boat, need to loose more weight than you though - 1.5 stone would be good. I have started going to the gym a few times s week and am trying not to eat carbs except with supper. No sandwiches, cake etc. Seems to be working but not fast enough!

Also I've bought some new clothes which will be flattering if I don't quite manage to loose as much weight as I want to. I've bought a swimming costume that's flattering as well. Hope you have a fab holiday!

There are many, many ways to create a calorie deficit and just because one way (e.g. cutting out a certain food group) works for one person doesn't mean it'll work for another.
