What to wear with this dress to a summer wedding?

First post although long time lurker on mumsnet. I've found a dress that I love to wear to a wedding in June but have no idea what to put with it
I'm late twenties, size 10/12 with dark blonde hair. I'm trying to find shoes, a bag and maybe a blazer? Or something to wear on top but am absolutely clueless so any suggestions would be brilliant.

Hi Spud the is another thread running about this dress! I'll try and find it hang on...

Kirriemuir Sat 16-Apr-16 22:08:30

Oh sorry but it is horrid.

I think the boots look terrible with it in that photo. I think it needs more delicate sandals - I would say either gold or something with some colour. Will you wear a hat or something in your hair? The dress just needs brightening up with accessories.

OK I am an idiot. I think this is the thread I saw!

I really like the dress! Agree strappy sandals for sure and probably cream bag and jacket.

MrsLettuce Sat 16-Apr-16 22:37:44

Yes, I like it too.

I think a jacket might be tricky with the little sleeves - may well rumple and sit wrong.

I'd be tempted to try it with gold. these are lovely. These too. these too if you'd prefer something lighter

I would try Navy shoes, jacket and bag. But I am a bit boring!

MrsLettuce Sat 16-Apr-16 22:42:34

this bag is nice but better not to match with shoes.

littlem133 Sat 16-Apr-16 22:47:28

Navy blue accessories!

Helloandgoodbye Sat 16-Apr-16 22:47:47

It's nice but colour wise it would be better on darker skin tones. If you are a black/Asian girl it would look stunning, not so much on very very fair skin (like the model they seem to have chosen!!)

MrsLettuce Sat 16-Apr-16 22:55:39

I forgot to ask about budget!

crisp little jacket

Ilovetorrentialrain Sat 16-Apr-16 22:57:32

Ooh MrsLettuce that bag is indeed nice!

spud3870 Sat 16-Apr-16 23:02:10

Thank you intothefire and I love. I'be been looking at nude shoes so far but will definitely have a look at some gold (wasn't sure as I don't really wear any gold jewellery but maybe this is a good excuse for something new.)

spud3870 Sat 16-Apr-16 23:04:19

Kirriemuir I agree it does look shit in that picture but I really like it in the flesh just unsure of what to wear with it.

spud3870 Sat 16-Apr-16 23:07:10

Lurking quietly I am very boring and was wondering about navy.

spud3870 Sat 16-Apr-16 23:15:00

Thank you mrslettuce I'm struggling to make to shoe links work but the bag is definitely the kind of thing I was after. Ideally I'd like to spend under £150 for bag, shoes and jacket but could go a little over.

MrsLettuce Sat 16-Apr-16 23:20:27

The Zara sandals link seems to work but ASOS is being annoying with links ATM. Was the 'Faith Libertine Gold Mid Heel Barely There Sandals' there. I'd not put the bag with them though - they'd not match well enough / be different enough to work.

The Mango jacket would work really well, if a jacket will sit right on the shoulders.

MrsLettuce Sat 16-Apr-16 23:21:19

Oh. I linked the zara sandals twice by the way. Got confused!

Ilovetorrentialrain Sat 16-Apr-16 23:25:28

MrsLettuce you are GOOD at this. The jacket is gorgeous (I needed one just like that recently, also for a wedding) and I reckon could fit ok over the shoulder frill detail.

Spud incidentally, the bridesmaids at the wedding I was at were wearing that colour (completely different style, your is in no way bridesmaid-like) and it did look beautiful and classy.

MrsLettuce Sat 16-Apr-16 23:30:32

these would be great with that bag and almost on budget
these would work fine too, to budget

MrsLettuce Sat 16-Apr-16 23:33:16

"almost on budget / to budget" meaning the shoes, bag & jacket

spud3870 Sat 16-Apr-16 23:50:53

mrslettuce is good was kind of hoping she would post on my thread when I started it thank you love the 'kind of on budget' shoes and think I could wear them again.

MrsLettuce Sat 16-Apr-16 23:56:48

They looked wearable to me too.

About to blush my way to bed blush Crikey

Saw these earrings that would work with the teeny 60s vibe you'd get with the dress and shoes (and the jacket I keep going on about too, actually). #marker#-1-
