Please help me find some post-baby jeans :(

I'm 14 weeks post c section (my second) and have the tummy to show for it. Hoping the S&B experts can help me find some new jeans whilst I continue to eat cake try and lose weight.

I'm not back in my pre-preg jeans and won't be for some time. My problem is that I need jeans to hold in my wobbly fat tummy (size 16) whilst also fitting well on my legs (size 12/14).

All jeans I've tried on either fit on my waist and not on my legs or vice versa. A wide waistband would be a plus in terms of keeping the wobble under control. Not bothered about price as long as they fit.

Any ideas? Pre-baby jeans were all Topshop Leigh as I loved the soft feel and good fit.

Thanks in advance Thanks

I would recommend Eden jogging a from Dorothy Perkins. Very comfy and you don't have to keep hauling them up.

I hope you don't think I'm being unhelpful but in my case I lived in maternity jeans for about 4 - 5 months. The over the bump ones.

In summer I moved to leggings with cotton tunics for a while,

Even with losing the baby weight it took a while for my shape to return.

Someone else may have something more helpful later. In my case i kind of lost myself for a whole postpartum Flowers

Jeggings - stupid autocorrect

I stayed in maternity jeans (underbump with a thick waistband, think they were topshop but I got off EBay) for at least 4 months after DS1Blush but yes jeggings are your friend- Dorothy Perkins or Sainsburys.

Dorothy Perkins Darcy - bit thicker on the leg material. 25% off today.

Seconding the Eden jeggings from Dorothy Perkins, I have about 5 pairs and live in them!

Have you tried going somewhere higher end like G Star? If you go to their stores, someone will recommend a cut for you and run about getting you lots of different pairs until you find one that works.
They are expensive (£100?) but do last of ages, fit brilliantly and don't sag.

You body will continue to change and heal over the next year, so I wouldn't invest much in a single pair of jeans until your shape is more settled. Look for a high waisted style in a soft stretchy material. I like next slim & shape jeans, good for holding everything in.

New Look high waisted, they are great for tucking the tummy in.

Only £20ish for a pair so not a huge sum to spend on jeans that might not fit for long (I'm on my third size of them since 6 weeks post baby who is 5.5 months).

These ones... m.newlook.com/shop/womens/jeans/black-high-waisted-super-skinny-jeans_340832301

They say out of stock but my local one had plenty so you might be alright in store. I think because they are super skinny it works with the tummy size/leg size difference that you mentioned that happens post-baby.

Thirding Eden jeggings, loads of colours and about £20, unless Dorothy Perkins are having one of their (very!) regular sales in which case even less. They're really soft and comfy too.

Meant to say my pre baby jeans were top shop Leigh too so we may well be a similar shape

another vote for next shaping ones.

They come up nice and high, are supportive and fit an apple type shape quite well. Variety of colours and shapes ( skinny, slim and bootcut I think ). £30 ish

An as a bonus they seem to be fans of vanity sizing. I bought a size 10 whereas Im actually closer to a 14 round my waist in other shops :)

I wore spanx and then fat face jeans as they always seemed to be a good 'apple' type of fit, they also size up ridiculously big so it made it all far less depressing!!

OP I'm in your shoes too! In my case 6 months post c section

I live in Topshop Joni high waisted jeans. Literally every day! I've got 4 colours. They are stretchy and soft and go right over the wobbly tummy. Seriously they have been a godsend

Next do a fab range of jeans called Lift slim and shape, defiantly worth a try

Wow, thank you so much for all the replies!

I have tried to Next ones actually and had the 'fit round the belly but baggy on the leg' problem.

Those New Look ones look really nice - do they keep their shape and colour well?

I've had some Eden jeggings before so may well check those out again too.

Thanks all, I feel much less hopeless now GrinThanks

Sounds like I'm the same size as you and am 11 weeks post section. The best jeans I've found are the superskinny high waisted from H&M. The new look ones went baggy and started falling down really quickly, same with fat face.

These ones: www.marksandspencer.com/dual-fx-x-fit-jeggings/p/p22409708?prevPage=plp

They hold in tummy but are slim in the leg, the denim is not too thick, not too thin and they come in different leg lengths. I always get compliments and people are always surprised they are M&S!

Oh nooooo welsh! Can't be doing with baggies Confused

Those M&S ones are nice.

The "not your daughters jeans" are fab I have about 6 pairs.

Not cheap. But so worth it. Think John Lewis stock them. They are really flattering and have a high waist band to tuck tummy into

TheEmperorNotTheSalad · 15/04/2016 12:56

Well I ventured into M&S today and came out with a pair of their 'pull on jeggings'. Despite the name they are pretty fabulous. Black, perfect length and the size 14 fit around my tum and legs. miracle

Thank you so much for all the suggestions. Thanks

Oh you beat me to it! I was just coming to say M&S jeggings (pull on and normal fasten). They're soft, comfy and with a decent high waist. Plus they come in tonnes of colours
