Please recommend a comfortable/everyday bra in 34 E/F

I have finally got around to being properly fitted for a bra several years after the yo-yoing in size caused by pregnancy/bf. I went to 3 different places and bought 1 bra in each - all 34 E/F - all fitted and seeming comfortable in the shop. Now I have worn each of them for a couple of days each I've found by the end of the day there is a bit of digging in by the straps either on my shoulder or by the underarms or the under-wires pressing in to my skin. It may be that after a couple of washes they will soften up and I do a fair amount of walking so there is more likely to be chafing but I feel a bit disheartened. There must be a comfortable bra in my size - would love some suggestions of brands and styles that you have found the most comfortable for every day wear that I can try...

I'm 34F and this is my old faithful. So comfy and such a good shape (read the reviews)

Freya Deco
Fantasie Rebecca (not as supportive as Deco I wear these when at home rather than out)

Kind of depends on what shape you are - I have weirdly widely spaced boobs so some bra styles just don't sit right regardless of size.

I've got on fine for everyday comfort with some iterations of Freya Deco as well (especially if you like a moulded cup bra), Freya Patsy half cup, Cleo Maddie, Cleo Koko, Triumph Amourette Spotlight (the slightly padded version - rather boring bra but very comfy).

Freya or Fantasie bras with side support will be your best friends :)

This is my day to day bra.... Rather boring but soft cups don't show under clothes. For dressier occasions I wear Freya styles which don't have weird seams across the nippleConfused like some brands. I would always be measured at Bravissimo as they seem the most competent.

These are the comfiest bras I've ever worn. Wore them all through pregnancy and I've even converted some to nursing bras.

Chantelle Hedona. I have been wearing almost nothing else for 10 years. Underwired, smooth moulded cups so invisible under clothes, minimal decoration. About £35 apiece, but washed in a lingerie bag, I get 18 months to 2 years wear at least.

Thanks for all the suggestions - I will be planning another shopping trip armed with the list. The Fantasie ones might be the first to be tried as the most comfortable of the first 3 I bought was a Fantasie Jacqueline (I think it was the underwires pressing in slightly that made that one uncomfortable by the end of the day). The least comfortable of my first lot is the Freya Enchanted because of the straps chafing at the side - I think it comes up too high at the side with the straps set too far apart for me. I think I have some experimenting to do to find the optimum shape...

Agree re those Debenhams ones - I bought one in desperation/rapid panic and it's been excellent.

I really like the Triumph Delicate Doreen - I'm a 40G and it is so comfortable & super supportive even though it isn't underwired.

And if those Debenhams ones don't suit try their "soft comfort" T Shirt bras. They are slightly different and I (38G) found they were a bit more comfortable, about £20 each.

Any of their Gorgeous range might suit.

I like Simone Perele and Marie-Jo - both pretty and comfortable.

The worst bra I've ever worn was an Elle Macpherson one - I literally ripped it off at the end of the day and threw it in the bin.

From your description of the Enchanted and Jacqueline fit, I think you need either a lower apex where the cup meets the strap, or a more centralized strap altogether.

I have similar issues with the same models and I'd recommend trying the Fantasie Alex and the Freya Hero. I actually find Freya/Fantasie half cups best for me nowadays but they're hard to come by in plain colours- the closest has been the Freya Marvel.
