What coats do you own?

ButterflyOfFreedom · 07/04/2016 17:32

Just that really - do you have different ones for different occasions?

What do you wear for work?
What do you wear for taking the kids to the park / zoo / museum?
What do you wear to the pub?

What styles are they and what brand / which shop did you get them from?

Thanks!

Work - depends on the weather but I don't have a particular work coat
Park etc - again depends on the weather. Parka if cold, leather or demin jacket. Cotton parka.

three leather bikers
2 jersey bikers

cheapo parka
cotton parka
grey peacoat
ugly raincoat in a bag type thing which I only ever wear in summer rain on holiday
black jersey blazer - wear this a lot in summer

Too many.

For work- full length tailored wool in winter, 3/4 length velvet military style in autumn/spring and trench in summer
Casual- wool parka for winter, leather biker for autumn/spring and denim for summer
2 faux furs for winter evening- one short to go with jeans, one long to go with dresses
Plus a windproof, waterproof, style-free anorak for proper outdoor stuff, and a down ski jacket that it's never cold enough to wear
Plus surpluses of some of the above that are retired but I'm hanging on to
Haven't listed Blazers, they are a separate category imo

Full length dark grey wool. (Every day for cold) old Dorothy Perkins. It actually works great for rain too.

Sheepskin type (probably goat skin, actually), black, 3/4, for going out (almost never wear)
Black trench coat style. Also between seasons and rain.
Light grey puffer coat - rain and cold. Mostly for supermarket shopping and watching DS's football games.

Dark brown biker jacket type. Day to day.
Leather 3/4, black. V old and rarely wear it now.

I have a fair few coats and jackets, actually. I always feel like I never have THE right one for the occasion, though, which is probably why I am always buying them.

Big grey/green Didrikson parka
Massive black puffa jacket with furry hood from TK Maxx

  • both for cold winter days, but didn't even get them out this year.

Black hooded coat from Next
Navy hooded raincoat from Zara
Navy shorter mac from Burberry
  • for drizzly, cool, school-run sort of days (ie. most of the blood time in this country)

Long black belted coat from Ted Baker
Long grey belted coat from Asda/George
Shorter black swing coat from Boden
Fitted grey funnel coat from Next
  • all for work

Black leather biker jacket from River Island
Black and blue short jacket from Chanel (charity shop find!)
Black fake fur coat from Topshop
Black suede and fake fur coat from Topshop
  • all for going out t'pub etc

Many blazers, cardis etc that I occasionally wear on the rare Spring-like day.

Light blue waterproof - Regatta - horseriding or dirty outdoor stuff
Turquoise/teal waterproof and fleece combo - Trespass - work and walking cycling etc replacement for above
Brown faux suede jacket - Next - very old should really be in the bin but I love it
Blue linen jacket - M&S - anything as I love it too
Loads of hoodies and cardi type stuff for summer when it's not cold enough for a coat
