Non-maternity wedding outfit: 6m pregnant

Help and inspiration needed; I am stumped.

I need something for a wedding in a couple of weeks. Will be 6m but don't really want to buy maternity wear as a) I find it all dull and mumsy and b) I would rather buy something I can wear again. I managed 3 weddings in my previous pregnant without having to break out the maternity wear with stuff from Cos and All Saints that was just cut in a way that accommodated bump. Can't reuse those options though as it's the same crowd!

I'm 5'8 and a size 10, bump not huge. I'm after something that's not mumsy or dull.

Bonus points if it might also work for another wedding at 7.5m!

I wore a linen maxi from monsoon which had a high waistline just under my boobs. I've worn it loads. All of their maxis are very flattering but it's whether you think they're appropriate for a wedding!

I actually wore that dress until I was 9 months pregnant Smile

I wore a heavy, stretchy maxi from Phase Eight which was more 'formal' (high waist, buttoned back, beading under the bust), and it did me well at three weddings at various stages of my pregnancy. The gathering under the bust accommodated the bump nicely!

I also loathe maternity wear - I'm a petite size 4 and everything just looked like a sack on me. However, I love seraphine stuff. They cut their clothes very flatteringly so, other than a slightly longer hemline at the front, you wouldn't know.

In fact - I'm back to my pre-pg size and wore one of their wrap dresses to a Michelin started restaurant for lunch today as I love it so much!

Unless the dresses you already have are very distinctive indeed then there's no reason why you can't accessorise differently and re-use them. Why wouldn't you?

Lots of good ideas here thanks.
MrsLettuce, it's a wedding where there's a big bunch of us (c.20 people) who've all been at lots of weddings together and there's loads of photos of us all together. Plus I get approx zero chances to be glam these days - it'd be nice to be able to wear something new.

Yep I have to say I have never remembered anything anyone has ever worn to a wedding. I would barely even remember the colour of the bridesmaids at a previous wedding. I would be pretty sure the same crowd are not that interested in your choice of outfit. Consider the same dress accessoried in a different way.

Oh yes, more than enough reason for a new frock then Grin

I love this but there's only a 10 left so maybe a push for 7 1/2 months
this is rather plain but I think it's dress up alright

Ooh never heard of Finery but like the 1st and the back of the 3rd you linked to.

Seraphine I've always found a bit too classic for my taste.
