Anyone get this? I'm thinking about signing up but looks a bit too good to be true?

Also wondering how the points work if anyone can shed some light?

I got a Birchbox subscription for Christmas, and I'm really impressed. Most months have had one or two full size bits of makeup (this months was an amazing colour changing lip balm and an eyebrow thing, last months was a lovely Spectrum blusher brush and a once-and-done eyeshadow pencil), plus some sample size products (most are a decent size and a mix of skin, hair care and make up). I really look forward to it arriving.
I'm also quite impressed with the points - if you review your box and contents they credit your account with points, which convert into a tenner to spend in the shop when you reach 100. Mine have added up quite quick, and I didn't catch on till month 2. I have a link which gives you a fiver worth of points to get you started - if you want it, send me a PM.

I love mine, a little treat to look forward to at the start of each month! The only downside is I don't know what to do with all the lovely boxes they come in. Seems a shame to just throw them out.

I had them as a special offer for five months last year and loved them. Out of five boxes I think I only had a couple of things I didn't use and discovered some great things.

I used one of the little boxes to keep packets of seeds in, another one to keep some crafty bits in...

Would you enjoy getting some bits of makeup that you haven't chosen and might not be in colours or styles that would suit you?

If you would enjoy that, go for it.

I had it for a few months but I prefer to just choose things that I want.

Love Birchbox! Great mid month treat.

If you like trying new brands, it's a great product.

Thanks everyone, I actually think I love the thought of trying new products I wouldn't have chosen! My sister used to get a different beauty box and loved it and anything I don't use can go to my two beauty junkie sisters Grin

moog I've signed up and ordered the first box via your link but showing zero points, have they come through your end?

I canceled mine as found after a few months my makeup bag and bathroom were getting cluttered with samples I was paying for but wouldn't use. Like the concept and enjoyed getting the box but in reality didn't use the products as they didn't suit my skin / colouring / style. Some of the samples were very small and you get more generosity asking at a beauty counter for a sample.

I got a three month subscription as a Christmas present. Some quite nice samples and a good blusher/blusher brush but I wouldn't subscribe. Too much clutter.

I signed up last night and used a code for a full sized face mask too so will give it a few months I think. Also got my sister to sign up so should have £15 in points I can spend in their shop. Can't wait for it to arrive now.

Hope you like your first box! I really like them, I've had two so far and will get one more before I cancel. I loved the free full size colour changing lip balm in last months' box, looks great on!

I'm only going to cancel as I have quite a set skincare/make up routine now :)

Sorry for the incessant questions... I've just ordered the tatler box as well, does anyone know how long it takes for them to dispatch from their shop?
