Anyone else find most trousers uncomfortable?

Following on from reading the jeans on over 50s thread.
Jeans are thick and stiff. They cut across my stomach and give me indigestion. If I get looser ones they look baggy and fall down. Wear a belt to keep them up and it's back to indigestion. Bending over or crouching means material cutting in at waist, thigh crease and behind knees. I rarely wear mine these days but when I do I cannot wait to take them off again. Do you have to have a certain build to be comfy in them? I've tried different makes and styles.
Other trousers still have that problem of the waist band having to be tight ish to stay up and cutting across various bits from actual waist to low pelvis depending on style.
Is it just me? I'm long from belly button to crotch and my pelvic bones stick out so maybe just my build.

I was just thinking this very thing today. I am wearing jeans and feeling really uncomfortable. The fabric is too thick and stiff and I have to hoick them up every five seconds. And even though my waist is not too big the waistband is uncomfortable.

I am also very long waisted so maybe that's a thing. Leggings are not an option for me as my legs are too fat so would look like sausages.

I think I'll just have to accept skirts are better.

I'm long waisted with a heart shaped derriere and I have vulvodynia (pain in the vulva) which is triggered by seams rubbing into me. Trousers of any kind are my worst nightmare.

I never wear them, haven't found them comfy since having 2 children and then later a hysterectomy! I'm very slim, so nothing to do with size, they just bug/irritate me all day long!! I live in very big pants and black opaque tights (ideally up past my waist) lucky dh GrinI tend to wear either mini's with a loose jumper or mini dresses with a chunky cardy, can't imagine wearing anything else these days!

Pear shaped here - so jeans are always tight on the thighs and too big around the waist, which means I end up fixing my belt ridiculously tight and looking like Simon Cowell!

Apple shaped. They can fit on the legs and hips, but too small on the waist.
This afternoon's job is moving waist buttons. Size up and they are like clown pants.

I'm the opposite. I love trousers. Can't stand skirts - if not wearing tights, my thighs rub, but then I really hate tights. I always look for stretchy jeans though to avoid them being stiff and uncomfortable.

Am useless with trousers. Tight enough to stay up...cystitis and or thrush. Big enough to be comfortable...fall down. Put belt on...feel strangled.

I am leggings and a dress and a Cardi all the way now. I know these are crimes on MN

not just me then.
Other people look so comfy in jeans and seem to live in them.
The only trousers I've found comfortable were some summer linen wide leg ones which had a grown on waistband, is that the right term? And some harem trousers.
The problem with wearing skirts all the time is that your stuck at the change of the seasons when it's too hot to wear tights but too cold for bare legs.

Ive stopped wearing jeans/trousers for this reason. I too have a high rise. They just cut in and aren't bendy enough. They emphasise my post baby belly overhang.

I used to find this but I recently found a brand that fits and is comfortable. The fabric is thin, they are cOtton with 2%elastin and since they cater for a range of shapes I have found one that goes in at my waist and around my hips and bum. (I can never wear belts either!). While I still think of alternatives when I think"comfortable", I have won them on a 13 hour flight quite happily! Persevere until you find your brand, or don't, doesn't matter and the alternatives are cute and comfy!

Jeggings are the answer perhaps?
Or jeans with a lot of stretch in them? I'm wearing Boden high rise skinnies which are very stretchy but cover the muffin top.
