I will pay £80 as I love them (but can't decide which colour combo) but would prefer to pay less! wink

I don't know about cheaper but they are worth the money. I have had a two pairs over the last few years. I have worn them everyday in the summer. Very comfy and last really well. So glad they are still making them as could do with a new pair.

Swifey Wed 23-Mar-16 18:20:49

Hi Catanddog, and thanks, that's good to know! Can you feel stones etc under your feet? Are they ok for everyday wear?

Catanddogmake6 Wed 23-Mar-16 18:31:18

No stones. Thick soles and quite sturdy for ballet shoes - not like cheap ones I've had. Fine for walking around London or even on flat country paths. Great for everyday. Comfy but look 'tidy' as my mother would say.

Next have something very similar this year.

BabyGanoush Wed 23-Mar-16 18:46:09

Gabor are amazing quality. So comfy and they don't fall apart.

I have three pairs of their balerinas which feel like wearing trainers.

Not too sure about very similar other options but they are available on amazon for a bit less, about £73 depending on your size.

Also saw these though i don't think the quality would be as good:

www.amazon.co.uk/Marco-Tozzi-Womens-Patent-Ballerina/dp/B00JF53PBM

and i really like these next ones - www.next.co.uk/x572318s7#126845 but i appreciate they're a different colour/style so probably just indulging myself really!

Agree with other posters that Gabor are decent quality though, and generally comfortable.

How are they at the heel? I bought a Clarks pair that felt comfy until I'd worn them for a while and my heel was red raw.

Sleepyfergus Wed 23-Mar-16 21:48:51

Clarks did a v similar looking pair - let me see if I can find a pic.

Haven't been current stock for a while though. There were difference from variations on this style, different materials and colours. Worth a Google to see if independent stores have any, as well as eBay of course!

They look as if they could be a bit low cut, ie toe cleavage- y
But presumably not?

DM has these Gabor Ruffles in the taupe and they are "heaven" she reports. (She is late 60's with burgeoning bunion)

I am staring 40 in the face and considering a pair in the red as I'm sick of struggling with cheaper but more uncomfortable versions.

So I would say go for it - and either get the navy/tan or taupey ones depending on what you normally wear

MorrisZapp Thu 31-Mar-16 20:04:38

I got a gorgeous pair of tan Gabor pumps in the charity shop today, label still on saying eighty quid.

Paid a tenner!
