How to look good at the races and not appear in the daily mail!!

I have ladies day at Perth races in May. Now it's not aintree or Cheltenham which is on this week. It's a bit more relaxed but lots of people still make a huge and sometimes completely wrong effort.

If you were going what would you wear? I am size 12 and 5'7. Will be on my feet all day. Don't have to wear a hat.

I go racing a lot (I work in the industry). Depending on the weather I either wear a nice dress and jacket with not too high heels, or a smart trouser suit.

Marking my place cos I'm going to the races in June. I've got the dress (LK Bennett like Cavemum said) but I've no idea how to accessorise. I don't think the Daily Mail will be interested if you keep it classy!

The DM seems to like women in teetery heels, bare arms and legs with fake tan and goosebumps, short tight skirts, lots of cleavage and make up trowelled on.

If you avoid that look you'll be fine
