Knee length culottes.

I would like a pair of preferably denim knee length culottes. The ones I can see on line are calf length and in my 5ft 2 frame will make me look like Kevin the Ternager.
In my head, culottes look like a line skirts but are cunningly shorts so you have more dignity when scrabbling after a toddler.
I have a hot weather active holiday this summer and I think denim culottes could be great addition to my holiday wardrobe.
Where are they to be found?

Oooh I saw some lovely culottes in my search for work wear, they were black and pleated and I was VERY tempted. I'll have a Google.

In my head, I also look stylish and fashionable when wearing culottes. In real life, they are not even flatteing on tall slim models, not to mention the rest of us.

No please no don't do it.

Just get some nice fitted slimline cotton shirts if you must

They are gorgeous. I think I am hankering after ones I had back in the early 80s.

The ones I failed to link to just look like a wraparound skirt I think. The ones katharina did are monstrosities!!!

It's hard to get culottes short enough if you are short/have short legs. I have a pair of a-line wool shorts from Cos that are exactly the right length - above knee on model, knee-length on me. I would think about getting some shortened although on very swishy or pleated culottes this might be more difficult.

I had a google on Asia, which I always forget about.
Yes the model photo is too long and swampy.
Either a swishy knee length skirt with a shorts middle is what I am after, or a stiff denim a line. But nary a thing exists.

I love culottes. I prefer mine slightly below the knee, these COS ones look knee length. http://www.cosstores.com/es/Women/Trousers/Speckleddenimmtrouserskirt/46887-40898968.1#c-22755

I like the length of those. I would wear with a vest top to balance out the flare of the bottom half.

And amarmai, will check out gap online. I buy gap tees online but usually find the sizing too varied on jeans/skirts/shorts but might be worth a punt.

They are fab! That 70s/80s vibe!
Just need them about four inches shorter as on me they will be calf length.
