Have I been seduced by comfy-but-ugly?

I'm currently being tempted by this cardi from The White Company. 50% off in the sale so I think my view may have been skewed by the possibility of a bargain.

I'm 5.6 and size 12. I try to do stylish but basically I like comfy so I aim for something in the middle. I usually wear the skinny jeans/long boot/Boden dress mum uniform but this would be more to wear at home on a chilly evening than anywhere else.

It is ugly?

Well I like it & I'm the same height/size as you.

Probably no help whatsoever Smile

TBH, as you asked, it is a little bit 'free catalogue in the Sunday papers'.

It's not offensive but it does have a whiff of Per Una about it.

I have a similar cardigan which I've had about 6 years I still like it but mine is cashmere. That is a chunky cotton knit so may not hang as well as a lighter material?

I like it better in the oatmeal colour.

Do you have nice square shoulders it can hang from gracefully? If so get it, if you are more rounded or booby I think it might look frumpy.

Ahh I quite like it!

Well thanks to this thread I have now ordered the £150 cashmere cardigan - but in my defence I do really need it.

I do like this one but have to stop buying wool things that I can't wear.

I ordered it and it's going back as a very odd shape. Not nice material either
