I am in the market for a pair of Chelsea boots

Anybody have experience of owning a pair of Blundstones?

I am prepared to invest some money - boots I like I am likely to keep until they fall apart. I am happy to resole etc.

I want something with a decent quality leather, rugged and dead cool Grin

Any other suggestions?

I have a pair of Crockett and Jones which are expensive but will last for life.

I also recommend Russell and Bromley Chelsea boots which are more affordable but still great quality

Oh, thank you! Grin

Yes, I have been looking at R+B too.
Will look up your other suggestion - I am happy to shell out for an investment. Provided it does actually last.

Oh wow, Crocket and Jones look lovely!
Did you buy a man's version or do they do women's sizes too??

I've just bought a pair of Dr. Marten Leonore Chelsea boots and they are bloody lovely and very comfy. I have them in black but they come in a brown too.

Never mind, I found the ladies.
The shops are rather far away from me though Sad

Ooooh, I like the look of them too!
I think I am looking for 'rugged' rather than 'smart', really.

I have/had Blundstones. They're a very chunky boot with a wide fitting. It really depends what you want them for - I wore mine working with horses/farming and they were great. They're comfortable but not sure that they're 'fashionable' iyswim.
