My old workhorse is about to give up the ghost, even DDs are complaining it's too cold! What should I replace it with? Parlux - if so, which one? Another brand - what?

Thanks!

I think the Parlux are super heavy so got a Babyliss from Boots, it's great, I'm pleased with it. High wattage and three heat settings too.

I have a Revlon one which is pretty good, and I also rate Babyliss for inexpensive, good quality electricals that last ages, my travel hairdryer is Babyliss.

Other recommendations appreciated!

I love my ETI one from Sally's.

Diva Veloce 3800 is very good.

Hadn't heard of either of those until I searched old threads a few minutes ago. They seem to get good reviews.

I got my Parlux after posting a similar thread on here and I'm not overwhelmed to be honest. It's better than my last one and dries my hair, that's as much as I can say about it.

My daughter has the Diva I have the ETI. Quite similar. My hairdresser has the ETi which is where I heard about it.

What's your hair type? If you Google ETI hair dryer and old mumsnet thread comes up with lots of discussion on hairdryers.

Choosing a hairdryer isn't supposed to be such a big thing, is it? Except, I'm mighty confused. I've always thought I'd replace mine when the time came with a Parlux because they seemed to get good reviews. Now it seems they ain't all they're supposed to be so huge question marks there. Have looked at the other brands suggested and they all get good reviews. Can there be much difference between them? Does it come down to hair type? If so, mine is fine and lacks body ... and tends to frizz of it gets wet/humid.

Thank you for your recommendations!

I've got a parlux. Not massively impressed I have to say. I'd give it about 7/10.

It's amazing that so many people aren't impressed given all the hype. I'm tossing up between a GHD (got good reviews on an older MN thread) and the Diva Veloce. Only ruled the ETI out because I don't think it looks as nice shallow. Anyone with a GHD around? The Air, I think - unless I'm told the other model is really worth £££!

Ghd Aura - had it a year. It is amazing but not cheap.

Eeek ... that one is pricey! What sets it apart from the others?
