Does Dove Summer Glow smell of feet???

Oh dear god mumsnet help me, I have been driven mad the past few weeks by an intermittent horrible curry/cheesy feet odour which I just cannot fathom.
I have chucked away slippers, sniffed my feet, washed my shoes, nothing seems to work. I've just been to a christening in some heels which I know are clean and odourless, Having first showered, and the whole time I could smell this horrible stale feety stink. I think other people could smell it too as someone suggested I needed to check my baby's nappy!!Blush

On my return I have sniffed my tights, shoes, feet: they don't smell!! I'm going seriously mad.

I eyed up the bottle of summer glow which I have been putting on my legs a couple of times a week. It smells lovely in the bottle. But I think I can smell the offending stink on my calves and ankles. Can this be right? It would explain the coming and going but really?! I have got to resolve this before I lose the plot.

Is it an old bottle that has been left in sunlight?

I use it but am sure I smell fresh as a daisy Grin

I found the Johnsons one a bit stinky, and the Garnier one made me look like I was covered in brown freckles, but never had a problem with Dove.

I'm not sure if it's old but it was on offer when I bought it as they are discontinuing. I've just scrubbed my legs with perfumed shower gel and then applied some regular scented body lotion and I'm going to see if it abates. I bloody hope so or I need to go to the doctors!

All the moisturisers with self-tanners I've tried smell lovely in the bottle but develop a musty feet smell a few hours after application

Insufficiently... Really? Oh gosh it's all starting to click. I really hope this is the source in one way because it's making me crazy. But on the other hand I like my new tanned legs. I wonder if another brand would agree with me more.
Gleekster, yes there is a sticker on the bottle saying New Dove Summer Revived coming soon so maybe rebranding?

Firstly, I think Dior Bronze oil does a great job and smells nice.

Secondly, is it possible that your baby did need their nappy changing? Reason I ask if because it's possible to have an infection in your nose that makes things smell bad.

So sometimes when you can smell something horrible but can't trace the source it really is in your nose.

I haven't tried any upmarket brands through so getting a decent one might solve the problem.

Probably. Dove soap smells like shit, so it would continue the theme...

MrsNora, I was really hoping she did need changing but, no, she smelled all fresh and lovely. Thank you for the recommendation. I am going to eliminate dove for a few days and see if it is cured.

I can still smell it a bit but not as strong.

I've used it and yes it does smell like a mixture of feet/damp Confused. I stopped using it for this reason even though it does the job.

Thank you, I'm glad to hear it's not just me. The results are good but I can't stand this smell. I'm so glad it isn't me Blush
My next move, before I started manically sniffing my entire body, was going to have been chucking my lovely fluffy lined boots thinking they were past their sell by date.
Can't believe it took me so long to work out Confused

I could smell it all the time all musty and stale, such a pity as it really did soften and colour my body I even used it on my face!
